CR-SOCOM started as a guerilla unit fighting to take on Hosnian Prime forces early on in the Crossroads Revolution. In the latter stages of the war they became a true special forces unit, specializing in sensitive and difficult missions, drawing their personnel from line units whose members had displayed exceptional skill and courage. This trend continued as CR-SOCOM became the go-to anti-pirate and anti-terrorist unit for the military after the Revolution. They successfully made a name for themselves doing this for many decades, growing into three separate branches within their own command. They are constantly training, never being idle, often pitted against each other during wargames on top of their usual training and selection duties in Green Force exercises. Eight hundred years of this type of high-intensity training has created a special operations outfit unlike any in the galaxy.
