DESCRIPTION
Essentially formed as the holding corporation for all the vested business interests of the owners and operators of the Crown Court casino on Point Nadir, since the conglomerate’s foundation its vision has expanded into both the premium entertainment and pharmaceuticals industries. For now predominantly concerned with the casino and resort that bear's its namesake as well as its associated operations, the Organization is now seeking to aggressively expand into new business avenues all throughout Point Nadir’s Arcade district and beyond.
To survive for very long operating a business on the anarchic shadowport where the only law is the law of might requires immense strength or deep pockets. As a subsidiary of the Salvatrucha Economic Development Corporation, Crown Court leverages that strength both in terms of manpower but mainly in terms of reputation to keep their grip on a swathe of territory in the Arcade.
An operating arm for the Exchange, the Crown Court Organization seeks to bring a form of its own kind of order to the otherwise violent station streets. Competitors are ruthlessly and efficiently put down, but within the casino itself is a form of safe harbor and neutral ground for all types on the shadowport, so long as the establishment’s rules are not violated.
Primarily interested in the drug and arms trade, a significant portion of the cargo moved daily through Point Nadir’s Slips are contracted through deals made with the Crown Court. But the conglomerate also has a stake in the local black market. Headquartered out of the casino itself, the Organization nonetheless makes their presence known throughout the district through their Enforcers, taking its cut off any business that goes down on in its territory, as well as a piece of most of the action for bulk orders in "facilitation fees".
RATIONALE
Given the task of setting up a new base of operations for the Exchange in the infamous Nuiri sector to prove his worth but with little time and few resources to do so, the Prince organized a “hostile takeover” of the casino with the paid help of Xian Valart and his crew. On Point Nadir, where proof of ownership is in superior firepower, that was sufficient enough.
Since then, his backers have swept in and installed cutting edge defense systems as well as provided the establishment with enough security to protect both its patrons and its operators from an atmosphere as violent as the shadowport’s, and the Prince serves as the new owner and lieutenant of the Exchange’s operations in the region under the pseudonym Ifan ben-Mezd.
