Standard systems (life support, comm and sensor arrays, living quarters)
Ship building equipment
Eight tractor beams
Three large bay drydocks
Advanced deflector shields
Maneuverability: N/A

Hyperdrive Class: N/A
Strengths:
+ Can produce three ships up to 3000 meters at once, or develop smaller ships in greater numbers
+ Heavy shielding to give the shipyard a modicum of defense other than its garrison squadrons
Weaknesses:
+ No offensive or defensive weaponry, must rely on shields and defense squadrons
+ Sitting duck as it can't move beyond it's orbit
+ Under construction ships are exposed, allowing enemy forces to attack them and set production back or steal
Description:
As Aurora Industries grew larger and larger, the time had come for it to expand the types of shipyards it uses to go about its main staple of business. Commissioning a larger shipyard for the company, Taeli thought about the limitations of the current Type III yards and wanted to expand upon their capabilities.
Thus the Crucible-class Orbital Repair and Construction Yard was created. Going off a three pronged design, instead of the Type III box design, the Crucible has a much expanded capability for developing ships. Using eight tractor beam arrays to maneuver frames and under construction starships, the Crucible-class is able to construct three ships at 3000 meters at the same time, with larger amounts for smaller ships when the docks aren't occupied by a max capacity project.
One to three ships between 2001 meters and 3000 meters
Four to six ships between 1001 meters and 2000 meters
Six to ten ships between 601 meters and 1000 meters
Eight to sixteen ships between 401 meters and 600 meters
Ten to eighteen ships between 201 meters and 400 meters
Twelve to twenty ships between 100 meters and 200 meters
The Crucible-class boasts powerful deflector shields and six squadrons of security fighters for defense, but that is it. No offensive or defensive weapon emplacements are on the Crucible-class. Once a Crucible-class is built, it cannot move beyond the standard geosynchronous orbit of a space station. Ships docked at the yards, for both repair services and under construction are also exposed in space and thus are tempting targets for enemy thieves that get past security personnel or for enemy forces looking to destroy and cripple production.

Intent: To develop a newer shipyard type for Aurora Industries to use in building starships
Who Can Use This: Aurora Industries or those who have contracted the company out to build one
