Intent: To produce an injectable stimulant partially inspired by the effects of Crucitorn that both manages pain and provides a burst of adrenaline and focus.

Development Thread: If necessary

Manufacturer: Vhysis Labs

Name: CruciStim

Type of Consumable: Drug

Legal Status: Legal

Affiliation: The Kathol Outback, The Order of the Silver Jedi

Modularity: No

Homeworld (optional): N/A

Ingredients: T’pala paste, Nullicaine, Symoxin, Adrenaline, Battle Stimulant, Gylocal

Production: Limited

Strengths:
+Reduces/omits bodily pain and increases the user’s ability to absorb damage
+Heightens focus and energy, allows the user to think and react clearly in stressful situations.

Weaknesses:
-Not suitable for those of advanced age or with heart conditions due to use of Adrenaline and other stimulants as CruciStim raises the risk of heart attack.
-Stimulant was designed with humanoid builds in mind. Smaller species such as the Kushiban may go into cardiac arrest given the amount of stimulants, and larger species (anything 2x and above the size of the average human) will not be able to feel the full effect of the drug. Species with high metabolisms or drug resistance will see the effects of the stim shortened.

Method of Consumption: Single use injection
Average Life: Pain reduction, energy and enhanced focus last 5-6 hours depending on target’s size and metabolism.

Nutritional Value/Allergies/Side Effects/ Purpose:
Purpose: To reduce bodily pain, increase absorption of damage, and enhance focus in battle.
Side Effects: May cause mild muscular weakness and/or nausea after the effects of the stim wear off.

Description:
CruciStim was developed by Vhysis Labs in order to somewhat mimic the effects of the force ability Crucitorn, which allows for pain reduction via the Force. It is an injectable cocktail of medicinal herbs, anesthetic drugs and stimulants intended for use on the battlefield. The concentration of components in CruciStim were selected to best fit the needs of humanoid species, and therefore may not be as effective for far larger or smaller species. Certain species with a resistance or intolerance to CruciStum ingredients may not be able to feel the full effects of the stim or may become ill from it. It is recommended to apply one CruciStim every six hours as needed, and it is not recommended for long term use. A three day maximum is considered safe, and prolonged use amplifies the risk of health complications including but not limited to: irritability, loss of sleep, loss of appetite, anxiety, nausea, and muscular dystrophy.

When injected into the bloodstream, CruciStim suppresses the target’s bodily pain through the use of Nullicane, Symoxin and Gylocal. The effects of the pain reduction depend on the size of the target; smaller species will feel the effects more rapidly than larger species. In addition to being a pain suppressant, the Gylocal works in tandem with the Battle Stimulant and Adrenaline to deliver a burst of energy and focus, allowing the target to better absorb injuries and maintain concentration in battle. As with pain reduction, the length of these effects depend on the size of the target and can last for no more than 6 hours total.

CruciStim has minor healing capabilities from the addition of T’pala paste, and though it is not nearly as effective as Bacta it can help accelerate the healing internal wounds. While CruciStim can be applied nearly anywhere, it is recommended that it be injected in either the upper thigh, upper arm or abdomen for effects to be felt rapidly. Administering CruciStim at any other injection site could slow the delivery of the drug.
