Tech Review Cruentamque

Manufacturer: Darth Moskvin
Type: Consumable
Market Status: Closed Market
Production: Unique
Weight: Weightless
Size: N/A

SPECIAL FEATURES
  • Organ Grinder: When inhaled and allowed to run its course, Cruentamque will attack the organs slowly and painfully destroying them, turning them soft and fragile until they explode. Also, since organs are tissue based, the poison will also affect other tissues of the body such as lungs, nose, and throats, in part it's inhaled.

  • Clotter Disruptor: Because of tissue damage, the poison also affects the body to form blood clots by assaulting the cells that are responsible for clotting, causing the blood to seep through pores and orifices uncontrollably.
STRENGTHS
  • Potency: The poison is an apex predator when allowed to run the gauntlet of the body. It works efficiently and maliciously eating away at the organ tissues and other bodily tissues to near destruction in the form of internal explosion. As a bonus, it attacks the body's blood cells disrupting clotting, thus for a blood fest to pour from the orifices of the body. There are three stages of the poison. The first stage is the skin, and lips begin to turn a purplish color while a painful feeling is felt across the flesh. The second stage is the loss of the senses as sight, taste, smell, and hearing become dull and lessening. The third stage, or final stage, is the onset of the appearance of blood coming through the pores and the agonizing pain from within the body, as the organs begin to deteriorate. It's in this stage that death can occur unless a cure is administered in the first two stages, most efficient in the first stage. The poison, when released, casts a purplish hue thin veil of smoke, that alerts others that trouble is admis, or an early warning detection sign. The only cure for it is repeated injections of bacta, which is painful in itself. The injections must be administered directly into the organs and blood stream in a session of four consecutive hours. However, long lasting side effects can occur even after the curing process. However, the poison is only effective toward species with the internal organic makeup, like organs and blood cells. Species that do not possess this physical trait are not affected as well as those species that are gifted with certain regenerative abilities; the latter possibly having the capacity to ward off or filter out the inhaled toxin.
WEAKNESSES
  • Time Restraint: Cruentamque only takes thirty minutes for it to begin to work, though the stages are time sensitive. Unlike some poisons or venoms that kill quickly and instantly, this does not. It takes time to run through the stages, a total of three hours from start to finish. But once the final stage is in bloom, death is certain.

  • Administration: The poison is not easily performed, since it requires inhalation for the process to begin. There is not subtly to dispersing the poison like slipping it into a drink or a slight prick of an injection. Also, there are varying degrees to confound the poison's distribution such as location size of a building or area or weather-related activities like wind.
DESCRIPTION

In her secret lab, conducting brutal and ritualistic, she stumbled upon a concoction using the glands of two poisonous species and a sprinkle of Sith Alchemy. The two species poison are potent in itself, but not deadly enough to outright kill. Even combined their strength is but a speck on the pendulum of poisons. But she found by adding Sith Alchemy, with a mixture of Dark Magik, she created something far more potent than she thought possible....Cruentamque.

At first, she was unaware of what she discovered, so through trials and errors she unlocked the mysteries surrounding the new toxin. She began using animals to test the potency and effects of the poison, only to be slightly delighted. But she didn't want to kill animals, her prey was much more important. Back in the lab she tinkered until she created a new version of the poison but lacked the resources to test them; or so she thought. Capturing a few adventures poking about, she went to work testing her new found product on them; the results where thrilling. She watched with a sinister grin as her 'volunteers' perished in agonizing fashion. The only downfall was the method of distribution, but she was creative and sought that to be a challenge.

Very cool sub! I have one problem with it, the Potency's description is too absolute and not give a chance the users to react to anything to this. You state here this is the effect and the patient will react like this how you wrote it. But not every character is the same, some character has extreme/strong regeneration due to their species, or they are have resistance to similar issues, or they doesn't even have organs etc, because they are semi or full Force entities. I would like to ask yout o rewrote it and give the players bigger space, because always the players decide how the toxin affects them, not you. For example what you wrote that is the optimal or the best case in your POV, etc.

The poison, when released, casts a purplish hue thin veil of smoke, that alerts others that trouble is admis, or an early warning detection sign. I think I fixed it by adding in highlighted blue. I think adding a warning sign helps the other writers while the last explains who isn't affected or can counter the effects without painful treatment.
