Sabrina was build her biggest ship yet for the empire, a thousand meter cruiser. It was to be designed, as command and control ship. She had summoned her favorite pilot [member="Thanith Gumara"], to ask him would he like to command the ship. As she took him through the design specs of it, she knew he was ambitious and that what she wanted from a future moff. Though they where some time away from that at the moment, though one day that time will arrive.

She was going over several plans, as she waited fr him to enter.

Thanith had just returned from another armpit of the Galaxy doing a mix of business and pleasure. It was always what was required of him taking care of whatever needed taking care of. He had just landed back on the planet that was serving as the unofficial home of the Empire when the summons from Sabrina reached him. He quickly freshened up making himself look more presentable before heading off to meet her.

Twenty minutes later he walked through the door stopping a few steps from her popping to attention.

"Ma'am you wanted to see me?"

Despite nobody else being in the room at the time Thanith always had a habit of defaulting to the military bearing of an Imperial Officer. Even when he knew it was not required. He glanced briefly at the readouts and plans she had before her having a small guess at what she wanted. He had gone from a run of the mill shuttle pilot to being consulted on more than a few discussion regarding tech in a shorter amount of time than he had expected. He figured this was no different.

I sense great things from you, and as such I want your input on a ship design. She then handed him a data pad, on it was the design for stealth cruiser. Though unlike other cruisers, this was a support cruiser. It was being designed to help control a battlefield, it had already had room for interdictor field. She was also trying locate a jamming device for the area as well, though this would affect her ship as well. So it would have to use, a secondary coms array to command the ships, this would be lighting device.

She sat back and waited for him comment, as there was still lot blanks to be put in.

Thanith looked at her for a moment.

"I am just a pilot ma'am nothing more, nothing less."

It was a modest comment but not entirely untrue. There were certainly better pilots in the galaxy to be sure and then again there were worse.


He stepped forward taking a look at the data pad she handed him. He looked over the specs for a few moments before looking up.

"What are you thinking?" "I mean the concept looks solid enough but you have to consider the logistics." "Specifically balance."

He extended the data pad back out towards her to take back.

"Being invisible is great and all but it means giving up either firepower or defense." "Personally if it were me I would keep the defensive capabilities high and sacrifice the offensive side." "If this is really mention to be a support vessel."

He looked thoughtful before speaking again.

"Most importantly what happens if the stealth fails?" "A ship this size is not very fast............no way to get out of dodge in that case."

​This why I need your input, Captain. She used the word captain deliberately, she was promoting him. As she need people with naval expertise, to help command her ships. She was short on man power, so he was getting the promotion.

So what load out would you recommend for the command ship? You have free reign. She added that at the end, to let him know this was as much his project as hers.

Thanith smiled.

"I think for a support ship offensive wise focusing mostly on point defense weapons, a thicker hull, and heavy shielding." "We can use any space not taken up for stealth capabilities to hold squadrons." "If I had to take a preference I would say bomber squadrons or drop ships for ground invasion."

He looked over the plans again scratching his chin. It was a solid idea. By no means would you want a ship of this type caught out alone outside of the fleet. Then again Thanith was not really a Stealth type of Pilot. It had its uses but in the end Captains tended to rely too much on the stealth when it was available at the expense of solid tactics.

​Would not be better keep the armaments similar to the vortex class cruiser, so you can fight from a distance? She then added, Though with the extra room, You could get a full compliment of fighters. Also you could you the Excelsior class corvette, to give it protection from fighters, and that would also up the amount of fighter squadrons you would be using. Though I will let you make final decision, in this matter. Though she could see where he was coming from, stealth ship where god for raids, but not always as good for out an out fighting. After all they where way more expensive than a standard ship.

Thanith listened to the points she made. Some of them had merit.

"In a support ship you are not trying to get it to be a do all." "I like the armaments of the Vortex." "If you were trying to make a Stealth Assault ship then I would say definitely arm this thing to the teeth with everything it can hold."

He paused for a moment.

"However in a Command and Control ship..............." "You want to use the stealth to stay hidden so an enemy Fleet can't exploit it taking away the advantage to direct forces."


He considered the other points.

"The Excelsior is a good design to model off of." "Specifically the point defense Cannons and the hanger space."

He stopped for a minute and then looked at her.

"How familiar are you with the One Sith?" "Specifically their Navy?"

If she had any familiarity with the One Sith Fleet maybe he could provide and example of what he was referring to. If not then he would have to get creative.

She looked and smiled at him, Before I left the one sith, I built there navy. Familiarity was not a question, she had design and built a lot tech for them. Then they massacred the zeltrons, she could not abide that and left. Killing without purpose was pointless, as it could not be remotely justified, so people hated you not just feared you. People understood when you killed with reason, they may agree with you, but they understood it.

She then asked him Which ship are you referring to? She needed to know, so she could remember the design plan of it.

Thanith nodded to her.

"Ok then that makes things easier." "When I say hanger space I am more referring to something like the Heavy Cruisers." "Specifically the Torment Class."

He smiled.

"You don't need the armament of the Vortex when you can deploy enough Fighters and Bombers out of it to do the same thing without giving away your position like firing a dozen different guns will."

He had been tempted to prod her about being in the One Sith and why she left but decided it was neither the time nor the place to do so. He was essentially doing the same thing by virtue of standing in this room with her so he was not one to judge the merits of her decision.

She smiled he wanted a carrier, know that was good idea. The only issue was due to tech advances, she could not get as many fighters into a ship, like they use to. As armour was know thicker, fuel efficiency required bigger engines, as well as host of other things. The most she could hope to get into a carrier know was may be six squadrons, unlike the torment class that had twelve squadrons.

​I can see where you are coming from, this is a good idea. Though resource management these days, would not let me get as many fighters on board, as they did back then. She informed him, though his idea was still a good idea.

Thanith nodded.

"That is to be expected." "What can we get and what would it cost us?" "Then we can meet in the middle and find something that will work out."

He smiled.

"That is the benefit of discussion ahead of time." "We make sure we get everything worked out on paper ahead of time and ensure the plans are correct before we send it to the shipyards for production."

He looked thought full.

"I guess as long as we could get at least four squadrons in it could work." "Two squadrons of fighters and two of bombers." "Ideally I would prefer twice that but if limitations will not permit then I can be flexible."

Well if a few deals go off, we might be able to up size and go for a bigger ship. Though if not, we would be looking at those numbers. Though if we make escort frigate, to give a boost as well as protection. Then we could match the numbers, the sith have with torment cruiser. Her company might be able expand soon, as she had few side line contracts pending. These where with the hutts, and a few bits for other people. If these pulled off, she might be able to up the ship size.

​Though what type of armament are you thinking off? She needed to know this as well, as she needed to work out the rm she would have for the flight deck.

Thanith nodded.

"An escort frigate is not a bad idea."

He looked thoughtful for a moment on armaments before jotting down a few figures.

"Well the fighters are just simply that fighters." "Arm them with laser cannons." "The Bombers I would say with a mix of emp and Proton or emp and Anti-matter."

He smiled.

"See with the use of the correct tactics two waves of attack can take out or at the very least disable a Corvette." "That is without the use of guns on the larger vessels in the Fleet." "Ideally that is really what we are looking at." "Use more with less if you will."

She handed him a data pad, and said to him Look go away come back with a full spec of what you want, and I will see how best I can make this. Even if means making new technology for it, after all big projects made new tech and she liked that idea. So go away and make list of what you want on this ship for the empire, and what you like in it's fleet compensation.
