Cruising Into Danger (Invite)

The cruise terminal above Coruscant was bustling. With the liberation of the core from the One Sith, the tourism trade could once again begin in earnest.

The one standard week cruise would be visiting some of the local sites ahead of a stop at Anaxes and then Velusia.

Among those boarding the ship was a young blonde woman wearing a casual outfit. She carried an identity card with the name ‘Arama Darisez’ because she thought it was clever to jumble her name. There was no way that the genocidal droids who were searching for her would discover that deception, oh no.

Rather, she was on board to meet a contact, and doing so on a ship away from other sources had been deemed the best way. Still, Amara was taking no chances.

As she headed to her cabin she took a look around the ship, looking for anything odd or out of place.

"Sir, you can't smoke here." The petite attendant repeated, forcing her smile all too much. "There are several desig-"

"Shut up." Lok took a long pull of the cigarra, filling his lungs with that tasty tar before exhaling right at the young woman. "Do you know how much I paid to enjoy myself here? A lot. I'm going to smoke if I want to."

"But, sir you can't just-"

"My credit chip says I can. Now stop bothering me."

She looked near to tears. It took every fiber of his being to not apologize and stand there, stoically. If he was going to put his foot down, then he'd better damn well do it and stick to his guns for the remainder of this trip. No point in asking for forgiveness.

The attendant dejectedly turned away.

"Wait," Lok called, stopping her in her tracks.

She turned back to face him.

The flyboy smiled. "Can I get my booze card?"

It's always nice to take a break every once in a while. At least, that's what Myles thought. It'd been a really long time since he took a moment to slow down and enjoy himself. Everything that's been going on has been giving him a lot of stress. Maybe this called for some time to unwind? Of course, Myles wasn't exactly one to frequent luxury starliners, but he sure as hell could afford it. Perhaps he was being too frivolous with his money, but if anyone were to really care, it wouldn't be him. For once, he wanted a little of relaxation that didn't come as a side effect of some sort of drug.

Well, this place isn't as luxurious as I thought. But, you know. Can't complain. I should find the buffet table as soon as possible- priorities first.

He was already in his cabin, unpacking his things which he carried little of. His luggage consisted of two small suitcases for clothes and... well, other things. Obviously there were some necessities that they wouldn't let him take on the ship. Like rankweed. That's a necessity. Oh, and his K-16 Bryar pistol. His rifle would be too much for him to smuggle onboard, so a blaster pistol would have to do. Not that he'd need it... Or maybe he would. He zipped up the suitcase with his belongings inside, having made sure everything was in place.

Can never be too safe... Never know when those greaseballs are out for my head again. Now, where's that buffet table?

He was clad in his grey tee and some pants. For once, he wasn't wearing his signature brown jacket. After all, this was the time to relax and unwind- not the time to smuggle drugs or whatever. Oh wait, he already did that. Regardless, he almost felt naked without it. It was rare he ever showed his arms. And unbeknownst to most, his left arm had been a fully tattooed sleeve down to the wrist. Various symbols and tattoos, but the one thing that stood out on the underside of his forearm appeared to be a sigil of some kind.

Stepping out of his cabin, Myles tried to find his way to the dining hall...

Jonas found himself aboard the cruise ship near where the musicians were merrily playing their instruments. Music was always Jonas' weakness. Wherever he went, he would always find himself near where good music could be found. He listened to almost all kinds of music and enjoyed them thoroughly. "Marvelous." he exclaimed as the band finished up a song. Jonas gave them a soft clap before walking towards the bar.

Jonas' eyes locked onto the pretty bartender behind the counter. "Hello, my dear. Could you give me something sweet but still for grown ups?" He slid her a few extra credits on top of what he owed her. "Keep the change, doll. I'll be back for more." She could not help but smile at him as she whipped him up a drink and slid it his way. He took the glass into his hand and leaned his back up against the counter as he scanned the room for anything that might catch his interest.

The cabin that Amara had managed to obtain was a nice one. Nothing too ostentatious, but still relaxing. After putting her bags away she carefully ensured her lightsabre was hidden. On her person she’d carry only a Hold-Out bolter around her neck.

As Amara was sidling through the post interiors towards the dining room an announcement came over the PA. It was a gravelly voice belonging to their Mon Calamari Captain.

“Good evening, honoured guests, this is Captain Jahangir, along with Vice-Captain Bahadur. We will be departing shortly from port. If you look to the starboard side you will get a good glimpse of Coruscant as we depart. Enjoy the cruise.”

Amara headed into the bar which happened to be occupied by Jonas and pulled up at the bar. “Surprise me. Something fruity and low alcohol,” she ordered.

She glanced around the bar which was starting to fill up. Seemed a curious mix of people were on this ship!

The booze card was a gift from the gods. It had cost him a pretty penny but this perfect little rectangle of plastic allowed him to help himself to as many drinks as he could consume without dying. And seeing such an extravagant price tag on the thing, Lok planned on getting well over his money's worth with this thing.

The former pirate beamed at it, strolling to the bar with enthusiasm only suited for a vacation.

Sure that cute little attendant had irked his nerves but that was a mere seven seconds ago. He had far more important things to worry about. Namely being what his first choice of fire-water would be.

"Hey," Lok called out to the bartender with a grin, "Gimme a double-dip Outer Rim rumdrop." Another grin as he flashed that piece of plastic, sliding it over the counter. It only took a few moments before this alcohol artist concocted his drink, handed Lok back his card, and set back to his other orders.

Sipping happily, Lok glanced at the rest of the bar's patrons. "You guys ready t' party?"

A gruff looking sort was sitting near her. He seemed rather jovial, though the single drink he’d ordered would have put Amara under the table.

She raised her drink theatrically. “That’s why I’m here!” she said enthusiastically.

It seemed like the guy was there on his own, and since there wasn’t much to do until dinner was served, she smiled.

“So…first time on board?” she asked conversationally.

Myles made his way through the crowd of patrons as he walked through the hall. He could see the bar not far away in the center of the room, and to the sides were large tables stacked with delicious food. But now he had a decision to make...

What to eat first...? Right. The right way is always the right way, so I'll go to that table.

He started walking over, glancing around for a bit. The bar caught his eye, but he reminded himself that he wasn't a drinker. No- always had bad experiences with drinking. If he hadn't sworn off it (for the most part) he probably would be missing a liver. Nonetheless, he had his focus set on one thing: FOOD. He could start to smell it until-

What the kark?

Some dumb prick decided to bump into him, and kept walking.

"Hey, what the hell?" Myles said loudly, almost causing a ruckus but not many seemed to really notice.

Taking a couple steps to stop the man, he laid a hand on his shoulder. That's when things started to go south. An argument started to ensue, and it took quite a bit of effort to knock this guy's teeth out. By now, it'd caused quite a commotion in the middle of the room.

nerf herder thinks he can just karking...

*WHACK!*
