SPECIAL FEATURES
- Burst fire spectrum - The burst chain function fires three bolts per trigger pull, each bolt spaced closely together to maximize hit probability while minimizing energy drain and overheating. The burst rate can be adjusted based on the user's preference, ranging from tight clusters for precision strikes to wider dispersal for area suppression.
- Efficient: Despite the rapid rate of fire, the M-XIII is designed to be energy-efficient. The burst chain mode utilizes an energy conservation module that optimizes the power used per shot and is paired with dallorian alloy to almost eliminate overheating, allowing for extended use without the need for frequent power cell replacements or cool down periods.
- Stun Setting included
- Modularity - Barrel attachments can be added, but additional modifications end there.
- High rate of fire
- Conservative energy consumption
- Does not function underwater
- Vulnerable to EMP
A weapon long thought to be obsolete or lost to time. The Crusader M-XIII Carbine dates its origins back to the Galactic Civil War era and beyond. Its exact origin may be unknown but its ideal concept and function in combat has been reborn under the Mandalorian Neo-Crusaders. As its name suggests, the Carbine holds the power of a rifle compacted into a lighter weight and smaller frame. Constructed from durasteel, duraplast and dallorian alloy for its more that hardy properties, The carbine can easily be used in one or two hands. Also like its name suggests, the carbine sports a dual burst fire module and is able to fire three blaster bolts rapidly with precision or, when adjusted, in a wider arc for suppressing fire. By design the M-XIII Carbine was redesigned for more consistent use and benefits greatly from the use of dallorian alloy. A material that makes over heating a third world issue and doubles on energy conservation. All of which translates to more energy for combat and less on weapon malfunctions.
The Crusader M-XIII Carbine is not without its drawbacks though. The smaller design of the weapon and its barrel hampers its potential long range applications. Where a blaster rifle may be optimum at ranges of, lets say, up to 100m, The M-XIII Carbine is optimum to ranges 60m. Next is the lack of underwater use and vulnerability to EMP. Both are a common issue for weapons in the Blaster classification and the M-XIII Carbine shares these flaws.
