Crystal Operation

Kelan awaited in his throne room in the midst of his palace, even though it wasn't the greatest of sizes. A palace shouldn't even have been his biggest concern, but an upgrade did seem in order. It's not that he wasn't capable of the funding for it, it just didn't seem worth the time and effort of having to find another place to stay while the builders had focused on expansions to the house. The front doors to the room was slammed open, an estimated dozen Trandoshans walked in, all covered in dirt. It didn't take him quick to notice the chains in their hands as he looked down at the depressed shackled slaves of all different species, about triple of the Trandoshans. Assuming the slaves started a revolt, they should still be able to handle it with years of experience. The one in the center, the obvious captain, stepped forward before glancing back at the shackles of the slaves before looking back at Kelan.

"Kelan, we have recently found a great stash of crystals located at the bottom depth of Excavation Site H. They should be of great value and would make a bit once we sell them over on Coruscant. I have personally observed the slaves as they've attempted mining it out, and there has been some strange movement down there, so we've returned to request reinforcements in case anything goes on. The quakes haven't been big enough for a major threat, but the help would be appreciated to avoid any casualties."

Pondering for a moment, Kelan finally remembered the mining operations that he had ordered when he first settled at Hok and constructed his base of operations. He must have forgot about the mines since he had moved to various other planets for business deals and shippings, eventually making him forget about his operations on Hok. Sending a few extra soldiers to help with this supposed minor threat would make good use of their abilities. Looking over to a small gang of droids, only a little more experienced than basic training, Kelan ushered them over to the leader of the expedition.

"You have your troopers, captain. If what you have told me is true, I expect a good fortune from these crystals. Assuming they aren't as profitable as you claim and only causes a strain on our finances that could have been better used on another task, your head will be on the line. Its up to you how you interpret it."

The leader had gulped, before instructing his fellow soldiers along with the new droids to prepare to move out the slaves to the mine. They had raised their blasters, instructing them to slowly stand up. The leader had nodded to Kelan, as the slaves all stood up before beginning to move out.
