- Cannot perform advanced or more penetrative levels of scanning.
The CS MicroLab is a compact scanning device that includes several different types of medical sensors and analyzers to help diagnose a patient’s condition. This device is equipped with the following capabilities:
- Bioscanning life forms for species, biological composition and medical status.
- Detection of poisons, toxins and drugs in a patient’s body.
- Magnetic and ultrasound capabilities for diagnostic imaging.
- Medisensoring to determine a patient’s particular condition and/or ailment.
- Analysis of biological specimens (blood, tissue etc.)
While the MicroLab can provide a lot of information, some of this may be subject to interpretation. For example, the ultrasound and magnetic scans produced by the MicroLab aren’t self-diagnostic and must be interpreted by someone or something else. Additionally, the x-ray and magnetic imaging capabilities of this device are basic and designed for quick imaging—specialty imaging must be done elsewhere.
Certain substances that the MicroLab can understand but not immediately classify will result in lines of raw data listing the chemical makeup of the substance which may be difficult to read. If the MicroLab encounters a substance or subject that it cannot identify, it will result in an error message. The MicroLab can stay up to date with the latest library of substance and species identification via syncing with the holonet. This analyzer can also be synced to other devices, store results locally or send them elsewhere. The MicroLab can be used as a handheld device or installed on droids or other medical devices. This device can operate for ~20 hours when fully charged.
