DESCRIPTION

The CSX-003 "Hunter" Bomber was commissioned by the Confederacy of Independent Systems in order to fill the role of aerial demolitions. To this end, the designers of Druckenwell Shipyards produced a rather capable bomber whose strengths lie in its durability and exceptional payload. To begin, its hull is composed of layers of both Durasteel and Turadium, thereby granting it a degree of longevity, in the event of shield droppage, that is higher than that of the average bomber. This feature, while costing more for the bomber's production, was incorporated due to the absolute necessity of assuring that a bomber's payload reach the target.

The hopes were, in the event of shield droppage, that the bomber would survive punishment long enough to accomplish the dropping of its payload; and thereby unleashing devastation upon those on its receiving end.

In terms of total armament, the Hunter is armed with two bomb bays which are capable of carrying a modular payload. This payload consists of a number of bomb types which are typically grouped together in the face of certain missions. All in all, the Hunter Bomber is an exceptionally competitive vessel which will serve to propel the Confederacy's combat operations forward!

I very much like the idea, However, If you want to, You could add manned turrets on the top and bottom of the bomber. it would increase the likely hood of it reaching its destonation ten fold. if it could fire back, With just ion cannons that are facing forwards. That bomber has to be able to turn at a okay rate. and from the size of it (Comparing to the other ships in the pic) it is rather large. and a slow moving ship with known bombs, its likely to be hit more.

but if say you add the turrets on there, opposing fighters would be less likely to meet it head on.
