Intent: To create a tamper-resistant jetpack.
Development Thread: [x]
Manufacturer: Carrison Tech & Fashion
Model: Rising Sun Jetpack
Affiliation: Personal (Isley Verd)
Modularity: None
Production: Semi-Unique (3)
Material: Durasteel, Circuitry, Terentatek Hide
Classification: Repulsor/Jetpack
Weight: 3.5 kilograms
Quality:
On paper, the CT-12 Jetpack is nothing tremendously special. It is simply a jetpack that has been tinkered with in a few key areas. For the most part, the item functions no differently than the vanilla "Rising Sun" Jetpack created by Carrison Tech & Fashion. However, things get interesting when the subject of resilience comes into play.
Isley Verd, a craftsman well-versed in Terentatek, treated the hide of said beast through his master's proprietary process. The result was a material specifically hardened against telekinetics. In particular, the degree of hardening would be on par with that of Yuuzhan Vong and the Force Dead. In the face of basic/standard telekinetics, the material is practically immune. (Meaning that, while not impossible to grip, crush, push, or pull, it would require tremendous effort to do so.)
The material was then used as internal lining for the CT-12 Jetpack, with the intent of providing its user peace of mind. No longer would the risk of having a jetpack telekinetically torn off be a reality. However, that does not mean that things cannot be hurled at the Jetpack telekinetically. Nor does it mean that the Jetpack is supernaturally immune to any other abilities. It is simply cased in Durasteel, which gives it average resistance to blasters, slugs, and concussive forces. However, electronic assaults (EMP/Lightning) can shut down its Repulsors and general concussive assaults can pose huge risks to the liquid fuel.
Put simply, the CT-12 Jetpack addresses a singular concern in the mind of Isley Verd and is unremarkable elsewhere.
