Perhaps one of the most elite armies to ever grace the Galaxy was the Grand Army of the Republic. An army of over a million clones taken from the genetic code of the Legendary Mandalorian Bounty Hunter Jango Fett. So great is this number that one can hardly expect every clone within it to be as famous or renowned as figures like Captain Rex of the 501st Legion, or Marshal Commander Cody of the 212th Assault Battalion.

That is, however, not to say that every single one of them does not have their own story. CT-6122, holding the rank of Captain and position of Executive Officer of the 675th Siege Battalion under Marshal Commander CC-2174 Claw whilst holding commanding the Bloody Saints, a death-squad that cheated death one too many times. Better known to his troops as King, CT-6122 participated in the First and Second Battle of Geonosis aswell as the Battles of Mimban, Christophsis, Arantara and Murkhana. His Battalion also participated in the Invasion of Scipio, Siege of Grange, Siege of Mandalore and the Siege of Saleucami.

By the end of the Clone Wars the 675th Siege Battalion had seen far more than their fair share of combat yet survived with minimal casualties, with thanks in no small part to it's Commanding Officer whom had seen them through all their battles. Building a reputation and name for themselves, within the 675th, the Bloody Saints became notorious as a last-ditch effort Death Squad, the soldiers that dodged Death and outplayed all the odds.

Of this Death Squad, there was one who served with greater distinction than them all. CT-6122 Captain King, the Martyr Monarch himself, served with exemplary service and racking up a reputation for being unkillable. He saw the Bloody Saints through more missions than there were battles in the war, and came out undefeated every time.

Having earnt his rank, working his way all the way from a Corporal by the time of Geonosis, there was never a question to his loyalty to the Republic, but more importantly, his troops. The Bloody Saints were named such because they often deployed on rescue missions, or salvage operations, and prioritised saving as many lives as possible over the completion of the mission objective.

Such is it a miracle that they not once failed a mission. Not during the Clone Wars, atleast.

While the Siege Battalion found themselves occupied on the snowy planet of Zaadja at a Republic Outpost known as Fort Ares, the Death Squad was deployed elsewhere on the planet, left without it's Captain for the first time since it's formation. The Bloody Saints had left the base on a routine patrol, and when the Fort had come under attack by a Separatist Siege Force, found themselves slaughtered, able to send an emergency transmission back to the Fort during their last stand. The snow that day was stained red, not just with the blood of the Saints, but with the blood they had spilt for the 635th Siege Battalion.

Marshal Commander Claw and Captain King found themselves disobeying orders from the Chancellor himself, fleeing with their outlaw'd Jedi General.

They took refuge in an abandoned, long-forgotten Old Republic storage facility of the same planet as the Fort, and carbon-froze themselves, hoping to be found and thawed in such a time as Jedi were not sought after and killed without mercy.

That was the Marshal Commander's decision, however. King found himself begrudgingly following the commands of his superior, as the Siege Battalion was placed under the command of a Lieutenant, under the guise of the actual command having died in the attack.

Why was it that this Jedi Traitor was to live, and his men to die? The only life this Jedi had known was intense meditation and the art of swinging a glow-stick. He had not sacrificed himself for the men he fought with, for indeed that was all he did. He fought with them. He offered no strategic advice, he simply made his weapon go zwoosh, and he got to live. Yet his men, his martyrs, his Bloody Saints, had been killed. They had died because they had sacrificed more than any other Clone in the whole Army, and they would never be remembered for it.
