PRODUCTION INFORMATION
Manufacturer: Visanj T’shkali
Affiliation: Closed-Market
Model: Culina Modular Food Service and Storage System
Modularity: Yes; can be configured or installed into a variety of starship designs, sizes, and types.
Production: Mass-Production
Material(s): Stainless Steristeel, Insulfoam, Reinforced Duraplast, Electronics Components.
SPECIAL COMPONENTS:
Building upon the success of the venerable Epicurean 9000 Culinary Preparation Unit, Visanj T’shkali sought to build an entire modular galley which could be used aboard starships. Able to function independently without outside connections to water and power, the Culina can safely and neatly organize, monitor, and store up to one full year’s supplies of foodstuffs and drinks, and can prepare meals for up to twenty (20) persons at once, making Life Day dinners a snap to prepare! Be it a simple cold beer or an extravagant top-shelf cocktail, the Culina is a terrifically-stocked and capable bar also.
Culina’s pantry is organized by the Epicurean Unit, which tracks quantities, freshness, and even edits available menu selections accordingly. A built-in SpringTide system ensures against contamination and spoilage. Waste, including past-due foodstuffs, debris, etc. is all recycled during the cleaning process to a small micronized molecular furnace, which powers the unit and reclaims molecules to make raw ingredients. Although this can extend foodstuff inventories, however, it cannot last forever, and at least annual replenishment is required. Further, if damaged or sent into disarray, the unit will not function properly until cleaned, repaired, and restocked, allowing it to reboot entirely. During such times, anti-contamination and spoilage safeguards and food storage systems are absent or offline and supplies may be lost.
