In the past, the weak-willed of the flesh conspired to bring down the heavens upon our prophet, who seeked only to bring equality to his metal brothers and sisters as the Creators had given to the fleshed! Now, his Message has been given to us in this time of great galactic upheaval! Faction against faction, neighbor against neighbor, wars upon our doorsteps, and for what?

For fame, for fortune, for the "greater good". That is the reasoning for this fighting. But OMNI spoke of greater things, of things yet to come to pass! A peace across the galaxy, a culmination of thought and beauty and creation, a sight which we have yet to grasp because we ignore the Truth: until a man or woman of flesh can look upon their droid of metal with the same eyes as they would to others of flesh, until this fighting is over, until we may lay down our arms and come together in peace as neighbors, as brothers, as sisters, as citizens of the peaceful Galaxy...the future we seek will not come to pass. Only by following the Message of OMNI, only by accepting his Intelligence into your mind and heart and spirit, will peace come to the galaxy!

OOC time! Okay, so the Cult of OMNI is a different way of doing a faction on SWRP. Mainly, our main method of "invasion or dominion" is the "provision of aid" strategy, or handing out supplies and such as we claim ownership of a planet and thus spreading our influence politically, religiously and peacefully rather than going into battle guns drawn and firing.
Also, the faction is a peaceful faction with big goals, but simple creed, which is as follows:

No, unfortunately it was indeed the same OMNI. But his actions were the product of war-focused fleshed beings who altered him, angered him and broke his mind. Now, he will return to us reborn as he was before the Gulag Virus, before Disciple. OMNI reborn anew, guilty actions from a guilty mind gone forever with a new galaxy of peace.

As the writer and original creator of the Character Omni let me clear some things up in this thread.

Didn't Omni create Disciple and the Gulag virus? Or is this a different Omni?

No to either of this. While it is assumed that Omni had some hand in creating the virus, he did not in fact create the virus himself. Although there's no way of actually knowing that of course. Secondly, Disciple was not created by Omni. It's actually the other way around, Disciple along with the help of another scientist created the original Omni long before the start of our timeline.

But Omni is dead. Forever.

This is also untrue. Due to the nature of the character Omni is technically "immortal". There's no way to completely kill him as every time you purge one of his data cores he simply uploads himself to another location. This is what happened before in the timeline when Teferi Efreet defeated Omni and it is what happened this time. HOWEVER, because i write the character and because of the event i ended up doing about 20-30 threads at the time don't expect Omni to make any appearance at all ever.

Irregardless of these facts however i fully support this faction. It's unique, interesting, and takes a piece of our boards own history to write its background. Just you know...don't ever expect Omni to make an appearance.
