Faction Cyberdime Crisis Part One | Agents of Chaos

Fyr_Myr_2.png
Makeb was an odd planet. It had a lower than average gravitational pull for a planet of its size, due in large part to the rare and highly valuable Isotope-5 located only on the planet. A side effect of the lower gravity meant that natural geographic landmarks tended to be of an extremely tall nature, including several enormous stone pillars that rose up well into the atmosphere of the world. Inside one of these pillars was the First United Bank of Makeb, a rather well off and influential organization with ties to several other planets and groups across the galaxy.

One of those contacts, coincidently, was the Agents of Chaos. The FUBM was more than willing to make contacts and connections with some of the galaxies less savory sorts, and a group of anarchists and freedom fighters was just another day at the office for them. The FUBM handled several of the Agent’s financial assets allowing the organization to move with little issue across the galaxy, as well as supplying the group with connections to other entities to help further their goals. The deal had worked out well for both groups...until it didn’t.

Slowly at first, but with greater regularity, Agents of Chaos financial assets tied through the FUBM began to vanish, costing the Agents a few thousand credits at first, but by the time the problem was finally identified, several millions of credits had simply disappeared. The Agents have been in contact with the FUBM, and a meeting has been set up to talk and look into the matter with greater focus. The Agents of Chaos have dispatched their Coins Division to lead the talks, while also deploying their Silencers for less the less savory task of making an example of the FUBM leadership.

No one can cross the Agents of Chaos and get away with it.

Objective One:
The First United Bank of Makeb has agreed to have a sit-down meeting with representatives from the Agents of Chaos to investigate the discrepancies popping up with greater and greater regularity. Your job is to get to the bottom of the financial scheme going on here, and if possible, locate the missing funds. There must be some record or trace of what happened to the missing credits.

Objective Two:
No matter who is to blame for the loss of credits and example must be made. Whether the First United Bank of Makeb is behind the credits, or they have allowed another entity to steal them, a message must be sent. The owner and founders of the FUBM are located somewhere within the bank complex, and while the others find our missing credits, your job is to find the founder of the FUBM and silence him, permanently.

Jai snuck through the Makeb streets, flanked by a pair of strill. He looked around, trying to see who else was their. Their target was the person who ran the First United Bank. The ones that somehow let the Agents credits "disappear." He wasn't buying that for a second, and being a Mandalorian, and a Tunnel Strill at that, he was perfect for this mission. All he had to do was find the guy. Jai kept walking, looking around.

"Time to hunt some scum. Keor. Lishu. Stay close." The two strill seemed to respond, stepping away from their tamer as they began to follow further away. Now which fancy place to check first?

The First United Bank of Makeb was a very clean place. Given that the rest of Makeb seemed to be rundown and covered with a seemingly endless supply of dirt, that was truly an accomplishment. Myrium had been dispatched by the Agents of Chaos leader, Discordia, along with several other operatives to investigate the seeming disappearance of Agents of Chaos funds tied through the FUBM. At a glance, the exterior, and interior of the bank hinted that no such shady business went on and that all was well. But, the fact the Agents of Chaos were here, to begin with, told a different story.

Myrium and the others with him stood waiting on a small landing platform, a shuttle that had ferried them down from orbit lifting off behind them. While the FUBM had invited the Agents to the planet to discuss the situation at hand, they had adamantly refused to allow them to bring their own ships. Something about being worried that the Agents would use it to begin aggressive negotiations of some sort. Myrium was somewhat insulted by this. The Agents of Chaos did have a reputation for blowing things up to get their way, but they usually did it for fairly good reasons. Blowing up a bank that had potentially betrayed them though...

Maybe their fears were justified.

Myrium turned his attention to three figures emerging from the bank, two security guards and a rodian in a long blue flowing robe. They approached the group casually, though Myrium picked up a note of worry in the guards. They had their hands resting dangerously close to the pistols holstered at their sides, almost as if they were ready to start shooting at a moment's notice. A small spread across Myrium's face as he rose to his feet, the black trench coat he was wearing shifting slightly, and the sword hilt protruding over his right shoulder make the guards noticeably more worried. The small party came to a halt a few feet from the assembled Agents, and the rodian gave them a brief bow.

"Honored clients, please allow me to be the first to welcome you to Makeb. If you would please follow me inside, we can begin looking over the records as you requested, though I must request as well that your weapons be left with the security at the door. We have a strict no-weapons policy inside the building, you understand."

You could touch her hoes. You could talk all the bad you want about her name. Hell, you could even try to talk bad about her clothes or try to find fault with her mascara game--which there wasn't any, for the record. Haters just made her famous. But yo didn't dare touch her goddamn money. Nope, that was a straight-on hard pass right there with a hard-a$$ nope and a no-fly-zone if there ever was one. She was about to f$ck sh!t up, fam.

Needless to say, for the first time ever, it was not all Gucci.

Nyree stepped out of the limo, the blazing light rained down on her face, catching the glitter of her green and yellow eyeshadow behind her aviators just right to hint at the psychotic storm that was brewing underneath. Her Ewok fur coat and cascading, curled, brown hair caught the wind as she moved, flowing around her like a flowing cape of her pure regalia, contrasting with her white crop top and low riding cut offs that showed plenty of her middrift and tan, long legs.

"Hey boss, you want us to come out with you?" asked one of her pink latex clad men.

Nyree didn't even bother looking back as she said sweetly, "Nah, honey, just give me the shotty and let's call it even."

"Whatever you say, ma'am," he said before reaching in the bag and tossing a slug thrower at her.

Nyree caught in the palm of her hand by its pump-action, her heels clacked against the stone steps as she came closer. Two of the guards standing on either side of the doors moved to intercept her, both had their hands on their side arms. "Ma'am, excuse me but--"

Nyree lowered the barrel, her other hand gripping the pistol stock. A spray of shrapnel roared from its barrel, ripping both of their torsos into a bloody, mangled mass. Their bodies fell. She stepped over their bodies, her stiletto heels tracking their blood with every step. The subservient automatic doors cowered at her approach. Her arm jerked, reloading it Sara Connor style.

"queen better have my money!" she shouted coming up beside Myrium.

Makeb was a planet attacked by the Hutt Cartel during the Galactic War. It was a significant wellspring of isotope 5, probably the rarest mineral in the world. Black Hawk was there, because he was summoned. Black Hawk did not really like going to a planet with Mike wolfing down his back. Black Hawk walked in. He looked around to see if anyone else he knew was there.

Post one.

They arrived in procession, a planned meeting with the group that mishandled a large portion of funding. The Agents of Chaos had the tact to let the organization attempt to make amends and promises on the surface, but the fact stood: someone had done their job poorly, and to ensure that it never happened again, an Agent needed to act in that vested interest.

Xenro had agreed to take on the unsavory task because of all his skills, making an example of someone was perhaps his absolute favorite. It would serve as a warning for this group, but more, it served as a chance to delve into his more limited research. There was so often live test subjects were difficult to come by via accepted means. The Agents of Chaos had agreed entirely to allow him to act in any way he deemed fit.

And there were no questions.

He disembarked after the first few people and followed behind the group. After all, there was no reason to give them the impression that they weren't all together. Suspicions often rose from questionable activity.

Myrium turned his head to the side slightly, his eyes narrowing as Nyree Justice Nyree Justice made her...entrance to the bank. His eyes glanced down at the bloodied bodies of the guards left at the door, before looking back at the banker before him and the two guards with him. They had begun to reach for their sidearms, and with a quick flick of his wrist, he two guards were sent flying across the landing pad where they were standing, folding his arms carefully in front of him. The coat he wore shifted slightly, the two blasters stored within glinting in the light briefly.

"My apologies for her...actions. As disappointing and overzealous as her actions may be, she has a certain point." Myrium took a quick step forward, reaching back and drawing the sword from its sheath and placing the blade against the banker's throat. "Now, as the crazy lady said, where is our money..."

Things were going very, very poorly. The initial plan to sit down and talk with the Agents of Chaos was now in shambles and any hope of being able to track down the source of who was beu\hind the theft is gone. Following the report of open murder on public property, emergency signals were sent across the city where the FUBM was located, and within minutes, hundreds of law enforcement personnel were being mobilized and prepared to deploy to the bank to handle the situation.

Within the chaos, the head of the FUBM decided that it was best to leave while things were just getting started. Loading all the papers and material he could into a few bags, he made his way through a secret passage in his office towards the streets of the city outside the bank's walled property. When one tended to deal with criminal groups, it was a good idea to have an escape plan at the ready.

Whenever a sentient (in this case, Hego's trigger happy colleague Nyree Justice Nyree Justice ) gets some wrong, who you gonna call? Ghostbusters! A Muun, of course!

You see, a Muun banker gets treated like a king everywhere, and his plausible lack of connection to the Agents of Chaos might get him places. It'd be an absolute miracle if Hego managed to do what he did, but he might be able to find who it was who took the money without having to interview witnesses that much.

As the sirens started blaring due to Nyree's colossal lack of any kind of social grace (what some call tact), Hego developed a plan to find where the money could've been stolen. He'd open what resembled a laptop computer and began to type things, attempting to analyze the Coins' accounts and which terminal might have done it.

Dex was still semi recovering from the few gashes and scraps he had, but all and all he was find.... though slightly worse for ware when it came to drinking lately. Still he could stand and putting a hole in someones gut still wasn't a problem for him. You always know the target... always know where the rats hides and always make sure you know where the hell you are supposed to be going. Especially with a damn bank, slipper gits with even more annoying guards.
With his orders to silence founder of the FUBM Dex didn't need to be told much else. As arrived more or less alone, taking his chances slipping in and out of crowds with his hood up to allow him to just blend with mash of colour of people and walls around him.
It wasn't often he got orders, mostly on account of being drunk, but also because he liked to keep the fact he was a stalker to a need to know basis. If you are a known assassin.... you are a dead assassin.
Others would have been ahead and with the sounds of it hadn't been too quiet about it.
Amatures.
With a sigh he would head on. Using his watch to keep an eye on his position and the positions of the guards..... they all seemed to be running one way... but only a few seemed to follow one route he had high lighted before.... with a bit of luck he might just get lucky... doubtful. .... then again.
With a keen eye, spotting someone with bags and a quickened pace and recognizable face.... He'd start to follow on, closing the distance as quick as he could.

Objective: One

Her heart always beat too hard, too fast, when the Agents of Chaos went on missions that dealt with anything so close to either Confederate or Silver space. While they had not been given any reason for worry so far, she knew enough regarding how the purple wheels turned, and knew they would not remain under their concern or radar forever. Still, today's mission as not meant to interfere with any of that.

Dealing with a bank… Alwine hoped the Agents were subtle enough to actually manage to pull it off. Love the group she was with nonetheless, the petite blonde was not blind when it came to their shortcomings, and the preference of many of them to pull a lethal weapon out and start killing people rather than sit down and talk.

This time, she had managed to avoid the usual flanking guards that rarely left her side every time she ventured off the Scintilla, and was free to walk the streets of Makeb on her own, her single weapon concealed beneath a large trench coat that made her appear even shorter than her five feet. But that was all right. She was not here to posture or make her presence be overly known.

And yet, she was still close enough to the bank to hear the shots fired.

Alwine facepalmed hard.

The sirens blasted and she could only guess that the people in charge were now either dead, or running for their lives to ensure this would not happen.

Quickly, she made her way, moving between people who were running it the opposite direction, pushing through until she reached the bank itself, jumping over the corpses and uttering a small prayer of thanks to the gods that it were just guards and not the people who were actually in charge.

We must fix this situation, quickly, she sent telepathically through the Force to Myrium Okar Myrium Okar , please, make quick introductions.

With that, she removed her large coat off, revealing herself to be in the business attire of a business woman, and offered everyone around a friendly but not too friendly smile.

To the others who she knew were planet-side ( Xenro Xenro , Dexter Zytros Dexter Zytros , Hego Hill Hego Hill ) she simply sent; "Status report?"

Jai was walking to where this target might have been when the alarms sounded, and for whatever reason a law enforcement officer tried to stop him.

"Drop the weapons Mando!" Jai sighed, quickly firing a stun blast before running into an alley and hitting his comms. Every agent would hear him, and they'd know he was ticked.

"Nyree, why do I have a feeling you did something to tick off the authorities!?" Maybe blaming Nyree Justice Nyree Justice right away was the wrong call, but he'd seen her handy work, and this had "Justice" written all over it. "Seriously, I feel like I'm the only one that doesn't shoot first sometime." There was a certain irony that this was coming out of the Mandalorian of the team, but being a warrior didn't mean you had to fight stupid. He'd lived under the Sith invaded Concord Dawn long enough to know that. He just shook his head, looking out.

"Ok. What's the backup plan since stealth's out the window and falling down a cliff."

"Head Speaker Lechner, this is Junior Speaker and Platinum Coin Hego Hill reporting. I am located in the alley way next to the bank where nobody can see me. I have my computer open and I am attempting to hack into the bank's computer system. You will have the location of the thief's terminal momentarily."

Pause, deep breath, another deep breath

"...and if you don't mind, can you please chide my homologue and colleague Nyree and tell her to be a little bit more discreet next time. I wouldn't be in the position I am now if she were so."

Afterwards, Hego kept typing furiously attempting to find the thief's terminal. He had located the AoC slush fund, which of course he would, he was in charge of managing. He then furiously attempted to re rout every single last transaction. This would take a long time. Probably too much, though Hego was still typing.

"I had warned Scherazade DeWinter not to trust these types. This is why the Coins need to manage the money on Scintillia," Hego said, explicitly making it so everybody could hear him.
