TECHNICAL INFORMATION
SPECIAL FEATURES
  • Capable of conducting complex systems repairs
  • Capable of conducting basic janitorial services
  • Capable of operating in a variety of extreme environments including the vacuum of space
  • Can use shoulder mounted repulsorlift emitters to lift heavy objects/equipment/cargo
  • Uses repulsorlifts and jump-jets to maneuver in both gravity and non-gravity environments
STRENGTHS
  • Versatile: The D0-T7 Astromech is capable of performing simple and complex engineering tasks, as well as basic janitorial services and basic logistical support (such as loading or unloading cargo from a ship). It is rated to operate in the vacuum of space, as well as in extreme cold and moderately hot environments. It uses an integrated jump-jet pack as well as repulsorlift emitters to move and does not require gravity to operate at peek efficiency.
  • Rugged: The D0-T7 Series is built to withstand the elements, including the extreme coldness of space. It can also withstand an average level of energy and kinetic damage due to it's durasteel plating.
WEAKNESSES
  • Susceptible to ION/EMP weaponry: ION/EMP or other energy dampening attacks will render this unit inoperative.
  • Difficult to modify: The droid has been specifically built to resist modification. Should clients require additional equipment and/or programming, they are required to purchase a custom model.
DESCRIPTION

The D0-T7 series Astromech droid is Obsidian Star's first mass-produced droid project. It was built with an eye to creating a droid that was a little more versatile than the traditional R Series Astromechs still in wide scale use today. It has four repulsorlift emitters: Two at it's bottom for locomotion, and one on each shoulder to aid with lifting of heavy items and equipment. It has four arms, two with manipulator grapples and two with arc welders. These arms, when no in use, can be folded up and stored within compartments inside the droid. The D0-T7 is programmed to perform a variety of complex engineering tasks in both gravity and zero-g environments, as well as in hostile atmospheres and the vacuum of space.
