The C-8 Was created by Draconian Robotics first as police droids to keep the peace un the rapidly filling streets in an attempt to help officers deal with any crime, as well as help lossen the strain between many of the police and assisting military forces. After being proven to be highy effective, they soon made their way ionto the armed forces, mainly used as front line attackers.
While not the cheapest droid on the market, they are more then capable to deal with most problems that need a blaster. While they are not as elite as any IG-Droid, or Commando. They are just as effective as B2 Battle droids or more so due to the multi-role.
