- [+] Dark Side Affinity: Much like his family, Dacian has an affinity for the ways of the Sith and the Dark Side. This comes from being born on a Sith world, and trained from an early age in their philosophy and teachings. Alongside his brother, Dacian was forced down a dark path, with one resisting it and the other embracing it.
- [+] High Force Potential: Being an Arkanian-human hybrid, created as an experiment by his father, Dacian inherited more human traits from his mother. As a result, he was considered a failure and was only kept alive - and trained as a Sith - due to his potential in the Force. However, even his father and brother remain unaware of just how powerful he actually is, with Dacian consistently suppressing his raw power to avoid attention.
- [+] Advanced Form V Combatant: Dacian has trained extensively in Form V (Shien/Djem So), using his physicality to great advantage and adopting the balance of defense with offense, specifically in lightsaber to lightsaber combat. His focus on this lightsaber form has given him an advanced understanding of the martial art, and as a result he is able to fight against opponents of higher rank to a reasonable degree.
- [+/-] Internal Rage: Because of his life and circumstances, Dacian has developed a deep internal anger and hatred. This rage helped him overcome the torture and teachings of the Sith temple, and ended up providing a powerful fuel for his dark side abilities. The young man also has a deep hatred for his father and brother, being treated as little more than an after-thought and used to enhance Oroth's personal training - by being beaten down day after day. Because of the anger inside, Dacian can also go into an uncontrollable rage, where he loses focus and forethought, and simply becomes an enraged being of instinct and hate - and this can be a detriment to his combat effectiveness and strategic value, despite how powerful it makes his Force abilities.
- [-] Reluctance & Conflict: The biggest weakness of Dacian, by far, is his overall reluctance to use the Force. Because of his strong affinity to the Dark Side, and how easy it is for him to call on those Force powers to use, he has started to guard himself mentally from their use. In order to break free of the imposed Sith teachings and way of life, Dacian constantly struggles with avoiding his knowledge and capabilities, and instead focuses on trying to find other ways - such as neutral or Light Side techniques.
- [-] Low Self-Esteem & Worth: The constant physical and psychological pain caused by his family, and the Sith as a whole, have only served to further alienate the young man from what he knew growing up. As a result, the ways in which he was treated have left him feeling numb, useless and unwanted; with the addition of turning his back on what he was good at, namely using the Dark Side, Dacian has been left in a lonely place where he feels and believes he is of no use to anybody.
- [-] Fear of the Dark Side: The possibility of becoming a Sith, both physically and emotionally, have caused a deep fear in Dacian. He fought against the life thrust on him, and has vowed to turn his back on the Dark Side, but even he can't deny that his entire life was spent dedicating every waking moment to that same power. The draw of the Dark Side constantly calls, its fingers already deeply twisted in the young man's psyche and being - and it feels as though he is ripping himself apart to avoid becoming what was demanded of him, leaving his choice and option of identity removed from his hands.
- [-] Relearning New Lessons: With Dacian's refusal of the Dark Side, he has had to begin relearning familiar lessons, but with a new emotional and philosophical meaning attached to them. This makes learning neutral or light side powers difficult, due to that constant familiarity of the Sith teachings, and the need to refocus and re-channel. In some ways, it's like breaking a habit you've been doing your entire life, and this has made Dacian really overthink and analyze lessons and teachings, to ensure he isn't stepping back into that old affinity and undoing all of his efforts thus far.
- [-] Stubborn Refusal vs Survival: Were Dacian in a position that required his use of the Dark Side to save his life, he believes that he would refuse. Realistically, Dacian isn't so sure. The doubt surrounding his refusal to use Sith powers, combined with a situation that threatens his survival, has left Dacian feeling even more conflicted and unsure. And in the end, not even he can honestly say if he would give in and use the Dark Side to save his life, and the repercussions to himself - and everything he's trying so hard to fight for - if he did.
