Description: The Jedi safe house on Dagobah is simple, subterranean, and absolutely classified; its existence is known to the Grandmaster, but its planet and coordinates are, so far, known only to Jorus. Constructed by labor droids who were then wiped and dumped into a star, all materials transported via cloaked starship, it is as secret as possible. Secrecy is its primary line of defense.
The entire safe house is built of Hijarna stone, or the comparably durable shell of the Greater Calama. On geological sensors, it registers only as one of thousands of large rock formations buried beneath the swamp. The stone is sufficient to block all lifesigns readings from within the vault. The entire subterranean structure is non-metallic and non-electronic. Though it has a small emergency hypercomm, the system is kept separate from its power source, and checked only rarely. The vault is bare gray-black stone throughout.
The vault is outfitted with chemical toilets, two dozen folding bunks, and a bedjie-based waste disposal tank, along with several man-years' worth of packaged rations. Simple hunting gear is also available, including snares, slingshots, and basic non-metallic crossbows. The facility's only concession to technological sophistication is its stock of medpacks and its medical-focused scanpacks. Both are kept well-shielded from sensors in a small saferoom, which is the only place where such things as datapads are allowed to be powered up. The saferoom also holds the vault proper, which contains backup information and Force artifacts as suitable. The Dagobah vault is rated Yellow.
All locks are analog disc tumbler models, essentially unpickable and using non-metallic parts. Such locks secure the front door and the saferoom. The vault proper, accessed from the saferoom, likewise has a disc tumbler lock, and is made of eighteen-inch-thick Hijarna stone. It and its contents are shielded from Force detection with three inches of nullification resin and an octet of taozin amulets. Occupants are advised to keep themselves hidden from the Force at all times, and the facility contains hard-copy pamphlets on that ability.
Half a kilometre south, a hill contains a Hijarna stone hangar, asymmetric and unrecognizable. It is capable of fitting a handful of starfighters or light freighters, but no more, and it is very difficult to enter. A visitor will find no blast door, no technology, no moving parts, no refuelling, and no repair resources. It reads as a simple cave, like thousands of others. The entrance is densely overgrown with vines, thanks to a brief visit by the now-deceased Boolon Murr. Murr also saw to it that the entire site's plant life grew around the site in a natural, protective, concealing manner.
History: After the fall of Coruscant and the accession of the career Rebel Jorus Merrill to the Jedi Council, Merrill was charged with securing the Order's greatest treasures. Along with the complex (read: deathtrap) Nkllon vault and the Red Level extragalactic protocols, he also saw the need for simpler security. The Dagobah safe house represents another level in the relevant strategy: Prepare to be pushed back.
