Primary languages: Unknown (Studies tell that the written language was a form of hieroglyphics)

Government: Unknown, presumably ancient unknown species ruled by some form of monarchy

Population: None
Demonym: Cyclophalopods
Major cities: None, but large ruins dot the surface of many of the islands
Major imports: None
Major exports: None

Culture: Not much is known about the original, ancient species who inhabited this planet, but what historians have gathered from the mass amounts of hieroglyphic text is that they were a highly violent species who worshiped a massive cephalopod-type God and made frequent blood sacrifices in his name.

Technology: They appeared to live in structures, large and small, build out of limestone without any sort of mortar to really seal them together, but they had smaller junks of limestone filling the gaps. (See this for further detail) No machines have been found, except for very primitive ones such as wheels, cranks, and other basic constructs. Whatever they were, they seemed to have not even developed space travel or any form of weaponry that the explorers could discern.

History: From what the hieroglyphics illustrated, the Cyclophalopods were not the only species to have lived on this world. Alongside them was a equally primitive humanoid fish race that was enslaved and eventually completely wiped out by the earliest of Cyclophalopod civilization. The Cyclophalopods were ruled by some sort of King or Emperor, who ruled over them as a dictator would, and oppressed the entire race until an eventual reprisal which ended in the King/Emperor's dethronement and execution. Since then what appeared to be a council of the creatures ruled over for thousands and thousands of years in unity until something came to them from the stars, something that the ancient race believed to be their God, and after that there was no known recorded history. Whatever the ancient race described either annihilated their entire race, or brought them with it into space.

Notable PC's: None

Intent: To begin as a very small footnote for a eventual galaxy-wide event that may or may not happen, but other than that a place for explorers and adventurers alike to probe and delve into the unknown darkness of the ocean's abyss.
