APPEARANCE:
Huwe's physiology does not make him stand out much from any other Besalisk you may encounter. Compare with most other species in the known universe, he would seem like quite the character, though. His imposing figure clearly features a few cybernetic parts that go with his heavy physique. One of his four arms and a leg have been replaced, as well as his right eye. They don't give him any advantages except for filling in the function of his former limbs. He wears a long dark leather coat with a set of wide striped trousers underneath.

BIOGRAPHY:
Huwe's been around for almost six decades now. Most of his younger years were spent as a young dockworker on Mygeeto. Having to come by with low funds within the family, him and his sibling found their own way in life pretty early on, each going their separate ways. Over the course of his life, he has never really spoken much about his life at home, only that it had been cold and harsh on a daily basis. As luck would have it, and he did find himself to be regularly lucky, Dam Huwe eventually got himself working aboard a couple of honest tradesmen, transporting valuable goods across the universe. Building himself a reliable household name within the various communities they frequented, Dam got into contact with all sorts of individuals. After years of pursuing an honest life, he got the idea that there was a bit more to gain over at the shadier sides of business. A motley crew took him in after running into them several times on one particular day. They thought he was trying to rat them out by tailing them, he thought his luck had run out after bumping into the same herglic twice.

The next decade or so, he remained loyal to his captain and his fellow crewmembers. They each gave him a piece of advice to pass down to his own future crew. A common dream they all seemed to share, each leading their own smuggling operation somewhere in the depths of the outer rim. Only a handful of them managed to make it out of their many violent escapades, though. And those that remained often left half of themselves behind. Even the thirty-something-year-old Dam lost one of his arms as their third ship had crashed into Ibaar's main harbour, and they had been forced to cut him free of the wreckage. He lost the last of his brothers and sisters when they were forced to flee from a heavy security detachment stationed on Daxam IV. Back on his own, he tried to disappear by enlisting with a large transport firm that was relocating after a huge tax scandal. It didn't take long for Huwe to hatch a plan and persuade a handful of similar-minded folks to mutiny. They managed to secure most of the ship's valuable wares inside a freighter and took off without a trace. Being an adept with sales that were transferred on the docks, Dam swapped the freighter for a decommissioned spacetug and sent the others on their way with their fair shares.

These days, Captain Dam Huwe has smuggled high profile goods across most of the Outer Rim and swindled most spaceports along with it. He's a household name to some and a blacklisted criminal to others. Depending on where morality lies with the locals. He never needed much of a crew, he kept the number of colleagues to the ones he could count on his one cybernetic arm. And ever since one of them tried to stab them all in the back, or rather: eye, Dam would count his hand one finger short. A promise to himself he only broke on the day he met a young kid, stowed away aboard his ship as they were stationed on Pagodon. Finding himself facing the past was tricky for Huwe. A young kid trying to make it in the world was a scenario he had not expected to find himself facing on the opposite end. After a day of turbulent events, Dam saw reason and allowed the boy to run with him and the others. For a few years, he allowed himself to stay put and operate mostly in and around Pagodon and its many isolated settlements. As the boy grew with the years, Dam realized they were ready to once again take off and go bolder. It was the tricky jobs that gave the thrill of the job.

Except Dam had missed his old life too much. Taking too big a risk, the crew got caught in a double-deal in Sullust. Over the course of four days, Huwe managed to get half of his crew killed in action and sold one other out to save his own skin. The only life he felt worthy to fight over was that of his protégée: Teq. As the foolish kid managed to get himself cornered, Dam took a brazen decision and ended up losing his right leg to the liquid fires that ran across the Sullustan homeworld. Together, they made it back to their ship and managed to escape in relatively good condition. Though, having survived several major injuries through his life, Captain Huwe was no longer the same sprite fellow that would swing off ramps or chase down treasure. Growing calm and calculating, Dam started taking a more cautious approach to their usual smuggling deals. Often using Teq as the face of their operations, as the lad had grown out to be quite the character himself. Dam was fine with just making sure they were getting from point A to B, preferably without losing yet another limb.

SHIP:
Damaris Huwe dubbed himself the captain of an old decommissioned spacetug he once swapped for a stolen freighter. Naming the old Quadjumper TUG-b13 a “Backwoods Ravinak” from the moment he landed on Pagodon, the name managed to stick around. Aside from a larger cargo capacity and one armament attachment, the ship hasn't received many modifications over the years, Huwe fearing that the more keen eyed security details will spot them right as they'd enter. It's four large engines depict four blue coated ravinaks seemingly racing forward with various other aquatic motives running along the ship's edges.
