Description:
-- Construction of Port Damalis began in 837 ABY during the falter of the Galactic Republic in a last ditch effort to reorganize the Navy. Limited to the knowledge of the construction to only the naval officers on the construction many within the Senate or Military were not informed of its construction. This all fell apart however when there was a catastrophic explosion that resulted in the death of many of the higher up of the project. Without leadership, and the spread of the First Order the station was left derelict and considered mothballed.

-- Many years later in 850 ABY the New Republic found the station half complete and the provisional government approved its completion. With the quick completion of the project, the station was still only able to be build in the station it was left in.

-- The station itself is a massive area that it built with the intention to house the main bulk of the Galactic Republic Navy during the One Sith-Galactic Republic War. However the station was never completed before the fall of the Government and Leadership. The completion was finished many years after the start date, but it only grew in both technologically and scope. It now has the ability to house, repair, and deploy a total of six (6) Sector Fleets in its ports.
