NAME: Damian Frost

FACTION: The Ascendancy

RANK:

SPECIES: Human (Augmented)

AGE: 30

SEX: Male

HEIGHT: 6'2" (1.88 meters)

WEIGHT: 220 Pounds (100 Kilograms)

EYES: Hazel

HAIR: Dirty Blonde

SKIN: Caucasian - (IE he's white) Tans really well

FORCE SENSITIVE: Yep

STRENGTHS:

General Combatant: Damian has had experience in most forms of traditional conventional combat. His time as a mercenary exposed him to both fighting with a variety of weapons, using a variety of tools and gear, and as such has made him adaptable to most situations requiring a fist, blaster, or blade.

The Important Things are Always Simple: Damian is usually able to distill what’s important about what needs to happen. This allows him to cut straight through to the problem’s core, come up with a solution/plan, and execute it. This straightforward approach might put many people off, but to Damian it’s just a more efficient way of doing things.

The Will To Win is Important: Damian hates losing. More than he hates losing, he hates when his losses impact those outside of him. This drives him to exceed his limits, to learn new things, and otherwise try to push himself to new limits and heights.

The Will To Prepare is Absolute: Damian tries to plan for everything. While he understands that most plans never survive first contact, having basic plans and executions to do that can lead to an overall plan that makes people quicker to act and react. His mindset is that if you train and drill for most possible situations you will fall back on your training instinctively, making you less likely to stop and doubt yourself.

Dark Passenger: Damian has a voice in his head that’s almost the antithesis to himself. Whereas he dedicates himself to drill and discipline, it loathes rigidity and repetition. When he likes to plan for everything, it would rather just fly by the seat of its pants (sometimes literally). This second view, while annoying, can often lead to new viewpoints and ideas that Damian wouldn’t normally see himself.

WEAKNESSES:

Laughably Untrained: So when it comes to the Force, Damian is like a brand newborn babe. He knows it exists, is somehow a thing that people can use, and that he’s supposed to be able to use it. But that’s it. His voice in his head can definitely use it, quite adeptly or even on a master level, but its tendency to do what it wants on a whim makes him relying on it a dangerous option at best. So he needs to learn how to use the Force like a proper user.

The Simple Things are Always Hard: So unlike most youngsters that are learning the Force for the first time, Damian is not a pup. And like the old saying goes, it’s hard to teach an old dog new tricks. Damian’s experience as a general mercenary combatant works against him in this regard, as it’s hard for him to connect with people that up until a few months ago he thought were crazed monks/lunatics.

Too Focused: Damian oftentimes will tend to get tunnel vision on whatever his objective is. This keeps him from seeing the whole picture a lot, even ignoring others around him as he tries to complete what he sees as his mission. This leads to a lot of undue stress, missing environmental variables, or outright ignoring anything that he might consider secondary. On the battlefield this can be lethal, but it also makes Damian distant and hard to connect to. His voice in his head is trying to loosen him up, but that’s something he can hardly trust so that probably won’t do much to help.

Dark Passenger: Damian’s advantage in having a second view is also his disadvantage. The voice in his head is always vying for control of his body, always trying to get him to break. It is constantly testing him to try and break his hold to keep it contained. And on the surface being little more than a violent murdering sociopath, this voice essentially wants Damian to give in to all vices. So while it can be helpful, most of the time it is either distracting, if not downright dangerous to Damian and those around him.

APPEARANCE:

Damian is a little bit larger than your average person, but if you meet him in person you’d never know it. His face is stern, but he otherwise purposely keeps his stature smaller than it actually is to draw less attention to himself. He has many scars across his body, but his eyes are the most telling thing about him. They are piercing, show a determination that is found in few while having a spark of someone who actually wants to genuinely make a difference. His force aura is definitely lighter, almost like someone who is more of a Jedi, but it also looks tainted. Like there’s something under the surface that he’s either hiding or suppressing subconsciously. His voice is firm and encouraging, able to speak like most would imagine a father to people. Or a dedicated friend. Overall he seems like a nice likable guy, if a little too determined and otherwise focused on his duty.

However, there is a darker side to Damian that he hides from everyone. This thing, this voice in his head, when it surfaces Damian’s features visibly change. His normally stoic and kind face will turn wicked and feature a devious grin. His voice will become more snarky and otherwise animated, and his eyes will turn dark. The most telling difference however is his force aura, as it will completely change, his lighter aura turning almost totally black as the thing’s soul. When Damian loses over to this side of himself, what was once a kind soul that was capable of violence for the good of others, turns into a being that enjoys violence and all other vices for the sake of enjoying them.

BIOGRAPHY:

Damian grew up on a backwater world inside The Sith Empire to a simple family and otherwise simple life. However his upbringing was something of a standard being a Sith, seeing as order and the state bringing stability to an otherwise dangerous galaxy. He would witness various conflicts as a kid before finally deciding to do his part to keep his family safe. He joined up in the army, where he at first found himself to be while determined and wanting to do better, at a disadvantage to other recruits who were more physically capable initially. During combat training Damian would repeatedly get poor marks due to him being unable to physically overpower many of his partners, before being beaten to a bloody pulp. But he would get back up each time, dust himself off, and decided to make a choice after his third week of getting the snot beat out of him. He started working out while everyone else was able to get the little sleep they could, he started pushing himself harder. And more importantly, during combat training, he didn’t see his partners as fellow recruits in the same unit. He learned to hate them, and to see them as nothing more than enemies to be put down. Damian would become more ruthless, more relentless, and week by week he would first win one, then two, then three of his sparring matches. His accuracy with a blaster would also increase as he drilled himself over and over on the basics of shooting. Damian essentially would turn himself from the least likely to graduate, to by graduation, getting put in the top of his class. This led him to be selected to Shock Trooper Corps, going to what Instructor’s called “The School House”, and receiving his advanced training. Here he would learn advanced infantry and shock tactics, close quarters combat, as well as the use in demolitions, heavy weapons, and long rifles. When he finally graduated to the larger Sith Military, Damian was ready and prepared for war.

Despite this tendency to use his hatred and determination to drive him in training and combat, Damian would still regularly contact his family back home. He would periodically send them money, messages, and visit whenever he got leave. This would be his balancing act, keeping one foot firmly planted on being the best trooper he could be, while the other was planted in keeping a home life and otherwise a way to unwind. That however would change with the advent of the New Imperial Order. Their tactics and willingness to subvert civilians as meat shields for their military would strike home with Damian. This would however only hit him as when he returned home from leave, to find his family home razed to cinders. His family, being staunch supporters of the Sith and proud of their son, were rounded up and burned at the stake by NIO agents supported by the local townspeople. When Damian saw their bodies on display, he didn’t hesitate.

He killed every last man, woman, and child in the town before burning it all to the ground. Even when they begged for mercy, pleaded that they had been deceived, or that they were innocent, Damian didn’t stop. He slaughtered them all.

When he came back from that two weeks of leave, his unit immediately noticed he’d changed. Whereas before Damian was just determined, now they noticed he was almost fanatical in his drills and fighting. When before they would take prisoners from New Imperial Forces, Damian would personally and brutally execute them on the spot. He no longer cared about “rules of war”, because if the enemy would stoop to being that low, then he would too. This culminated to a battle where finally was injured by an NIO suicide bomber, however using one of the other enemy non-combatants to shield himself and absorb most of the blast. This however would leave him a broken shell of a man, motivated by rage and hatred for the enemy. When a doctor tried to discharge him from the military, he physically assaulted them with his arms, becoming a violent patient as he demanded they “fix him so he can kill them”. This would catch the attention of a higher ranking Sith, who personally brought him into an experimental program to turn Damian into a living weapon. Using a liquid metal solution that could harden and binding a Nether spirit to the metal and his bones structure to repair the damage, Damian could walk and fight again. A side effect of the procedure was that he now was also sensitive to the force, and had a voice in his head that would cause him to have periodic and bloody blackouts, while also never shutting up. Before he could seek proper training however, The Sith would fall and Damian would turn to a life of mercenary work. Having experienced the biggest loss of his entire life, Damian would still carry a bitter grudge with the Imperials but now would want to accomplish two things with his life.

Make himself able to use these new gifts, and to make the galaxy a genuinely better place. Lucky for him, he had a few contacts that he’d made with his time in the Sith, allowing him to find a place to start anew. To start over. To try again, and hopefully this time to not lose it all. His first stop on the run would be to head to the Eternal Empire, a former ally of the Sith, to try and seek refuge. Here he would join the Ultranaut Corps, doing a short stint of service where he fought alongside the Empire. However following a run in with Mandalorians, and the subsequent battles that followed, Damian would be discovered as a force sensitive. This to the Empire was a grave sin when undisclosed, and so Damian was once again forced to grab what little belongings he had, and run. From here he would make his way to the Confederacy, only to find that it was already on fire. Damian would hit the ground running, leaving his gear on an evacuation ship, and donning the uniform of a dead Confederate Soldier. Taking advantage of the chaos, he would rally local soldiers in the area of battle and insert himself into the army.
