Damien has dark hair and dark eyes. Distinguishing features are the moles which cover his neck and face. His clothes are normal for a male raised on Dathomir. His arms and torso bear ritual tattoos from a ritual his grandmother made him go through.
In his wolf form, Damien has black fur and yellow eyes. He is smaller compared to others in his family.
BIOGRAPHY:
Damien is the son of Dejah and Valeska Van-Derveld and the grandson of Vega and Razielle Van-Derveld. He is one of two children, the other a sister named Daeva. Damien is older by two minutes. From day one he was favored by his grandmother Razielle. All throughout his childhood he kept hearing that he was some kind of chosen one.
Because of her infatuation, Damien was taken to Dathomir to learn the ways of the witches. Yes being male he did not have the status among their society, but Razielle continued to spout her tales of the chosen warrior. This all led to Damien having a large ego.
When it came time for his first change, Razielle took him out into the woods where she guided the process. It was painful. Bones cracked and contorted in ways that were inhumane. Damien finally understood what it meant to be Lupine. Something was born in him as he ran through the forest. His black fur wiped about in the night air. His yellow eyes were the only thing which distinguished him from the rest the night. When he woke up he was naked in the middle of the forest with the distinct taste of blood in his mouth. He became a creature of the night often to adjust to who he really was.
At the age of 18 Damien went through a tattooing ritual. He was marked following the old ways. The process was as painful, or more, than his first shifting. In order to keep him alive the runes were added over the period of a week, and when it was complete he was fully integrated as a night brother.
Razielle still had plans for him. He was sent away so as not to be treated as a typical male among the witches. His journey saw him searching out the rest of his family. He knew the journey would take him to their ancestral home. It was only a matter of time.
