- Nimble: The Danar Longship is a quick, small and maneuverable starship. Its small size and lack of extensive weapons across its hull allows for greater power and focus to be placed on the ships speed, allowing it to cross vast distances in space in relatively short time.
- Outdated: The Danar Longship is a revolutionary warship for the Danar people, but by galactic standards it is nearly a century out of time. While an impressively armed ship for their home star system, the Danar Longship is almost laughably unarmed when it comes to other vessels of its size, and can have little hope in combat against larger, dedicated warships.
The Danar Longship is the first vessel constructed by the Danar people in several centuries capable of achieving faster than light travel. While slow by modern standards, the Longship is the first ship the Danar have that can get them to neighboring star systems, opening up new worlds for raiding and plunder. While incapable of truly posing a threat to other galactic civilizations with even a single modern warship, the Danar Longship is capable of proving a dangerous threat to isolated worlds, and its cargo of Danar warriors pose a dangerous threat to even professional armies.
