Dance Dance Rebelution

Sannika Brynn

Let me tell you about a Rebellion...
Sannika had just come back from a little drive around Krasni Gorod, testing out the scrapyard speeder bike she had been able to salvage--well, with a lot of help. She may have been a great pilot, but she was no mechanic. It had been another sunny and humid day on this side of Praesitlyn, and while the wind whipping about her at high speeds had dispersed any sweat, she was now a shade or two darker on her face and on her back underneath her sports bra. Perhaps a little too dark. The sunburn could be bad in the summer heat.

After chugging a bottle of an artificially fruit-flavored sports drink, the short twi'lek sauntered into the pilot lounge and flung herself onto the biggest, squishiest couch, because she needed all that room and all that fluff to support her. She had a lot of needs. Just a blue milk and a starblossom was all she needed to keep happy. Except drinking blue milk right now sounded like a bad idea, and there was no starblossom to be found.

Should she take a shower? Nah. She wiped a blade of grass off her forehead and flicked on the radio to get some tunes going in here. "GOOOoooOOoooOoooood afternoon, Praesitlyn! This is Crazy Casey, and we've got a bunch of hot summer hits in store for you, straight from Brentaal IV, baby!"

"Oh boy..." she muttered, turning it back off and trying to enjoy the silence. Seemed like all they got out here was country music and remixes of pop remixes.

Stardust had been setting in the lounge eyes closed mediatimg, she let a breath letting a saber float up and come apart in front of her, she regularly did this and would put it t back together.

Sensing someone come in she shook her head and stayed quiet until the rodeo come on which caused her to lose focus her the parts going everywhere, she caught the red crystal with a sigh of relief before looking up at the other twilek then down at the parts quickly putting it back together"I uhhh guess there is nothing on huh"she said smiling

Sometimes it was nice to just relax. Sure, Juwiela was perfectly adapted to being up and about constantly and never having a chance to sit down, but that was only because she was often required to be constantly on her feet. When given the chance to be entirely off duty she typically jumped at it, not hesitating in taking the opportunity to catch up on her sleep, for starters, and take a shower longer than the few minutes that were usually allotted to any Alliance personnel. Believe it or not, this rough and tumble pilot was perfectly capable of cleaning up when she so chose. The only problem was that she rarely chose to do so, and so was often caught either in her flightsuit or what passed for casual military dress. Her dress uniform was another matter altogether.

After showering and managing to brush her hair and arrange it into some semblance of neatness she pulled on a pair of camouflage cargo pants, a grey tanktop and black combat boots. And, of course, she tied the blue wrappings about her empty eye sockets again, musing briefly at the irony of her standing in front of the mirror to do so before heading off. For once she had nothing to do, which was an oddity in and of itself. Usually she at the very least had repairs to work on, but even her ship was in peak condition, or at least what passed for it in the Rebels. That wasn't to say that it was scrap, but when you took what you could get with fixing things up, the job was bound to be a bit shoddy.

It would do no good wandering about the base and accomplishing nothing productive, and so she deemed to spend time in the pilot lounge. The Rogues never really got the chance to be together when not in the cockpit, and besides, it helped to know who you were fighting alongside a bit better, even if most of them had been at this for a year or more. Wandering into the room she gave [member="Sannika Brynn"] and [member="stardust"] a smile and a two-fingered salute, letting herself fall onto the couch next to her, yawning quietly. "It's nice to just relax, y'know? No worrying about the next battle or who has to spend more time in the sims to catch up. I'd say I could get used to this, but I think I'd miss it."

Sannika was startled when she heard the clatter of metallic material clattering to the floor, her face whirling about to spot whoever it was who had caused such a commotion. Interestingly enough, it was another tukian twi'lek--a newer recruit to the Rogues who Sannika was not yet very familiar with. "Woah... Yeah. Everything okay?" She glanced at the scattered parts on the floor and decided she should be nice and help gather the pieces.

Sliding off the big comfy couch, Rogue Three got on her hands and knees and began picking up the elements she could find. "Whatcha building?" The parts she was finding were not entirely familiar to her.

She barely acknowledged Juwiela as she walked in, completely absorbed in the hunt for her comrade's things. "Yo, Blinders, help us out here." Perhaps her special-seeing friend could see what might be missing.

She smiled and nodded"yea you just caught me meditating is all"she said as she started floating parts with the force putting it back together piece by piece"I'm building my lightsaber back usually when I meditate I take it apart then put it back together again it helps with my focus"she said keeping the half built saber in view "well probably not the best to do so though it was the quietest spot I could find" she said as finally it came together and clicked all at once falling into her hands"there we go"she smiled at the next person coming in"so...I'm guessing your blind...am I right?

"Meditating?" Sannika quizzed, perplexed. In all her life, she had only ever thought of meditation as some wacko religious thing that people do while holding up their fingers in circles and humming strange, monosyllabic utterances. "You mean like--"

The short pilot stopped in her thoughts, shocked to see the located parts of the broken lightsaber swirling in the air and gradually reconnecting into their full, massive utility. Well, that answered that! Sannika was not sure that she had ever met a Jedi before, but this was certainly no longer true. "That was... amazing..." she muttered, still staring dumbfounded at the reassembled device that the other twi'lek woman had just conjured out of the scattered elements. This was something else.

Stardust looked at the blade and smiled as she out the saber down"hahaha its quite a thing seeing people amazed by me putting a saber together"she said as she smiled and noticed some ink on the other twileks lekku

So no time for me to be amazed what's the ink on your lekku"she said pointing with a smile
