After the attack on Ryloth, Shamira realized a very important fact that needed to be corrected about her risen monsters. One that would take studying some new and more dangerous plants to actually accomplish.

Her monsters were not nearly the deadly creatures she had envisioned them to be. As horrifying as the boar wolves were, they didn’t have much in terms of deadliness. While it could be offset by how relatively simple they had become to create, Shamira sought after something more..impactful. Something that would more easily beat those that threatened her, her new home, and those that had decided she was worth throwing in with.

There was one planet she knew could possibly give her exactly what she was looking for. New Cov.

The biomolecule company there had been someone she had worked with in previous times, as they provided her with plenty of very fun plants to play with. But some of their more…dangerous species were not ones they were willing to ship to Ryloth, especially now that there had been an attack there. The only options left to Shamira were to either throw her lot in with smugglers, which might jeopardize the Mandragora’s and Biomolecule Company’s relationship, or travel to New Cov herself and gather samples the hard way.

Option number two was a much more inticing option, though there was the small caveat that Shamira still didn’t know how to fly a ship. That lead to a lot of pleading and begging to one of the only people she knew might take her to a place like New Cov, Viana. As much as she knew that the silver haired woman would not take too kindly to the proposition, some of the begging must’ve gotten through eventually, and the firey young witch thankfully found herself flying toward the planet.

What she hadn’t accounted for was Lula wanting to join up on the little expedition. She was the youngest of the new crop of witches that had joined up with the Mandragora in the past few weeks. They hadn’t interacted much, but when Shamira let it slip that they would be headed to an extremely beautiful planet on a little expedition, there wasn’t much she could do to keep the blonde off the ship. All she could offer Viana was a sorrowful expression with an embarrassed smile before jumping onto the ship herself.

Now, as they would soon be coming out of hyperspace and heading to the capital city of Ilic city, Shamira busied herself by finding her boots underneath the cot she had been lounging on and making her way to the cockpit. Finding Viana hard at work there, the redhead leaned forward to kiss the witch’s cheek softly. “You ready to go flower hunting?” There was a hopeful tone in her voice. This was not going to be an easy task, but with the three of them, what could go wrong?

Things had been...different, since the events that had transpired on Ryloth. Understandably so in quite a lot of ways, but the events of that day had done their work on Viana. She had already been a shut-in before everything had gone done, and now? Well, now it was hard for her favorite redhead to lure her away from home for any number of reasons. Admittedly, the ice she could wield with ease seemed to course through her veins more often than not, and it was hard for Vi not to misdirect that chip she had on her shoulders now.

Naturally she knew full and well that everything that had happened to her and Shamira was by no means the redhead's fault. But on the other end, every damn time they went out and did anything, something went wrong. Creepy haunted houses, planet invasions, the works. So it should be no surprise that the witch who wanted nothing to do with a lot of people in the first place, was now hard pressed to step out her door and socialize for anything. Especially when it was Shamira asking her to go.

But, Viana had caved. She wasn't trying to run the other woman off, after all. And if she were being one hundred percent honest? Telula's insertion on this little quest acted as a good buffer. The little blonde witch was pleasant to be around, and while she was ridiculously shy, her curiosity made up for her quietness in spades. It was refreshing in a sense, and helped make this little request of Shamira's a lot easier to swallow.

Speaking of redheads, when Sha appeared, Vi loft a brow as she shift her gaze to the other woman. "So long as it's just flower hunting and gathering? Then yes." Of course Vi knew there were dangers to be had, she wasn't an idiot. But wild life was a lot less hassle than everything else the pair had been through as of late. Man eating plants and animals she could deal with, without fuss.

Vi’s statement was true…for the most part. Enough that for a moment, Shamira didn’t feel the need to correct her outright on what exactly they were flying into. However, as they broke through the atmosphere, the guilt of not telling her the entire truth, or rather, giving her the whole breath of the dangers they faced weighed too much on her conscience to not say anything whatsoever.

“Well..the flowers aren’t exactly in an easy place to get to. Nor are they completely unprotected. The New Cov typically doesn’t let people actually go down to the valley to try and pick the flowers but we have a contract with them. As long as we don’t mess with their business…I can come and pick whatever I please.” She gave the woman a slightly sheepish grin while moving to slump in the copilot seat next to her. The journey there to where the flowers were most congregated didn’t worry Shamira the most, though it would be a trek to get there. No, it was the jungle itself that worried her.

There were stories about how dangerous New Cov was. The entire planet was a botanical and fauna nightmare. Everything either had spikes, poison, sentience, or some other nasty way to kill you. Even the grass here carried an oil that was able to leave uncomfortable rashes on the ankles of whoever decided to wade through them. That was one of the reasons why the redhead wore a slightly tighter robe today as opposed to her typical looser one.

It definitely wasn’t because she was traveling with the woman she looked most up to, and enjoyed spending the most time with. Definitely had nothing to do with that.

The redhead settled into the copilot seat, gazing over the consoles and buttons like she might just press some of them. She knew Vi wouldn’t really like that. Probably all those buttons did something horrible and would make them crash. At least that’s what she thought. There was still no telling how these metal machines work. Turning to Vi, flashing her a little teasing smile, her Spanish accent laced over her words as she tried to ask as nicely as possible, “Do..you know how long it’ll be til we land?”

There was an overly long, dramatic pause from Viana. She had turned oh so very slowly in her pilot's seat so that she was fully facing the redheaded witch, and her expression? Not very amused, not in the least little bit. "So, let me see if I'm understanding this correctly." Her tone was quiet, calm...perhaps too calm, considering the information that had just been dropped into her lap. "You lured not only myself, but the witchling as well, out to unknown regions for flowers that are not only deadly, but are within a territory that can get us all killed at the drop of a hat?"

Her head canted to one side and she loft a brow as she stared at the woman now more or less seated across from her with the way their chairs were turned. And, she did not wait for an answer from Shamira. "Are you out of your Spirits be damned mind?" There was anger on Vi's face, but it had yet to reach her tone, probably due to the little blonde buffer that was somewhere loitering on the ship. "After everything that has happened lately, you decided to plan a trip like this, and then lie to me about it?"

Vi gave pause, "Not lie I suppose, but withhold the whole truth of it." now she was frowning, clearly not at all pleased with being tricked into coming along on this trip now.

Shamira was sure that there were worst things to happen in one’s life. Being decapitated, losing a limb, being burned at the stake. All horrible things that nobody would want to happen to them. Not now, not ever.

Being stuck with that glare from Viana? That was enough to send chills down her spine. Chills that ran up and down and never, ever went away as long as that gaze was fixed on her figure. A gaze that very much made Shamira want to crawl into the smallest hole imaginable. Unfortunately, she was stuck here, and had to explain exactly what had happened.

With a shakey and small smile, she looked up to meet the very ticked off witch’s eyes. “I..didn’t want to withhold the truth of it. I had no other way to the planet. I honestly didn’t even expect you to come with me onto the planet, and she..” The redhead made a motion, jerking a finger toward the smallest of the group. “certainly wasn’t part of the plan. At least, not until you didn’t want to come…” She was rambling. Probably not the best way to convincing Viana not the turn the ship around right then and there, nor was it the best way to calm her anger. Putting her hands up in a soft, defensive motion, there was an attempt made to salvage the entire situation.

“Viana, you don’t have to come with me. Stay with the ship and our guest until I get back. It should only be half a days hike away from here. You can stay safe, and I’ll be the one to put myself in some danger to recover a few extremely precious samples.” Maybe this would work, and she’d be allowed to go off by herself. She didn’t particularly like the idea, but if this was what was needed to get herself to where she needed to go, then so be it.

There was hostility in the air, Telula could feel it. Enough so that it had pulled her focus from her studies - oh yes, Viana had made darn certain that studies were brought along for Lula so that she did not have time to waste on the trip there or back. But whatever was going on outside of the room she was in on the ship, she could feel it seeping into the room. So like the curious thing she is, the witchling got up and made her way out of the room and towards where she could hear the older witches speaking. A fact which made both of her brows raise the closer she got to the pair.

"No one is going out there alone." she stated, firmly even. Which was a rare thing, considering Telula's constant anxiety around people.

It gave at least Viana pause, though the older witch then frowned and a "No one asked you, witchling." followed.

"No one needed to ask me. Shamira isn't going down onto that planet alone, especially considering that we don't know a whole lot about what's down there. And if something were to happen to her out there while we were here?" Her head shook and she folded her arms. "And I know you feel more strongly about that than I do." she gave pause only long enough for Vi to sigh heavily and flop into the support of her chair further. Lula's gaze then went to the redheaded woman. "This isn't something you came here to do alone, so you won't be doing it alone."

It was strange, to be the voice of reason - to feel like the grown up, but here she was doing just that. Being the buffer for these two was hard sometimes...
