Daughter of Fen
Mia's fingers drummed on her helmet as it rested on the table beside her. She was apprehensive, what she was about to do would change the course of her life. Whether for better or worse, she had yet to find out. While she could just walk up to Alleria and challenge her she had no guarantee that her brothers would support her rise if she won. Much like she had not supported Alleria. She wanted to know that they were behind her, and also that they agreed with her.
With rumours of a sith invasion, now was not the time to challenge the Manda'lor. The troops needed to be united, the last thing she wanted was to make it easy for the sith. No, the time for this challenge was after the invasion. Assuming it was going to happen of course. And if it did, the outcome of the battle could weigh heavily against her or for her.
So many variables, so many things that could go right or wrong. She closed her eyes and drew in a deep breath inhaling the smell of the forest around her home. Dressed in loose pants and a fitted top, Mia had chosen to be without armour for this. Let them see beyond the armour, let them see me for what I am. Embreli had his anonymity, Alleria had the force, but what did Mia have?
She got up from the chair on the rear porch and moved down towards the stream at the bottom of the small path of land, clasping her hands behind her back she watched the water and waited for people to arrive.
