Having to get himself out of a lot of rough situations, Dareth is an expert shot

Because he has been in the business for over 10 years, Dareth has become very good at piloting his freighter with the skill that’s come from hard experience.

As a result of his way of life, Dareth often has to make do with getting parts however he can. As a result, he’s learned how to make the various pieces of equipment work together so his ship can make its next run.

Often he makes the mistake letting his mouth run before his brain catches what he was thinking of saying.

As a gambler, Dareth has a bad habit of taking unnecessary chances because there may be an opportunity to win. This has come to bite him in the butt on more than one occasion.

BIOGRAPHY:

Growing up on Nar Shaddaa, Dareth learned quickly how cheap life could be. While his family were not poor, they were not among the elite who ruled the Smuggler’s Moon. His father worked as one of the administrators for one of the many star ports under the control of the Hutts, allowing his family to live relatively comfortably. When he was old enough, Dareth understood he wanted to get off Nar Shaddaa and never come back. On his 17 birthday, he discovered a Mercury-class Star Courier in a scrapyard not far from his home. His joy at discovering the ship was quickly dashed when he realized the ship was missing practically everything but the kitchen sink.

For the next year, he put the ship back together, begging, borrowing, or downright stealing everything he needed to make the ship flyable. Finally, the day before his 18th birthday, Dareth stole the last piece of equipment he needed from a shipment destined for one of the various Hutt Palaces. As well as the first supply of cargo he would smuggle out of Nar Shaddaa. Getting it onto his new ship before anyone realized, he ran from Nar Shaddaa, determined to never come back if he could help it.

So began more than a decade long career of Dareth the smuggler. For years, Dareth has been a relatively successful smuggler, picking up cargos from legal and less than legal entities to the same sorts to sell. Sometimes, this brought incredible wealth for Dareth. That he would inevitably have to spend keeping his ship functioning and buy new cargo to sell somewhere else.

But sometimes, this choice of career brought terrible trouble to Dareth. Most recently, he was transporting some valuable cargo for a crime boss, a relatively minor official in a much larger criminal organization. Running from local law enforcement, he had no choice but to dump the cargo before it blew up inside his hold. The positive effect of this was to delay the police vessels long enough for him to escape to hyperspace.

The downside was that now he owed this crime boss a significant amount of money. And if he didn’t pay, the wider crime organization would ensure he wouldn’t be able to regret his mistake. Now he’s wandering around, trying to find any and all work to gather the money to pay the crime boss back. And get his head off the chopping block.

Equipment: A pair of matching Breshig War Forge Consolidated PBS-01 Particle Beam Sidearms

An old R-9 droid he recovered from the scrapyard. He repaired the droid to functional service and affectionately calls it ‘Renner’

SHIP+Vehicle:

Mecury-class Star Courier

His vessel is not a fresh off the line version. He had retrieved it from a scrap yard. Thus the ship looks like it’s seen better days.

Zephyr Pattern Speeder Bike

He bought his bike after a very lucrative run some two years ago. Now he is thinking perhaps he should have saved that money and avoided his current situation.
