After the death of his father, when he was 25, Darius took over the position of Governor of Neo-Polis. He continued and furthered his father's work, all the time increasing his power by buying off officials, releasing propaganda, boycotting intergalactic trade in the private sector, and cracking down on any resistance with military force.
