Dark Beginnings

Sitting at a table in the back of the temple where he had summoned all the Dark Jedi to Nikias exhaled. He had finally made it to the enclave where he'd temporarily set up shop. The quarters were not something that one would find a king in. Dust was caked upon the stone walls, and the cot in the corner was dingy and unmade. Next to it on a desk was a plate with old half eaten soup that Nikias didn't finish earlier in the day. For now, till he finished meeting with the other rogue and dark jedi it would have to do. There was always the tower of Sorzus Syn's that Nikias had found, but no Korriban held a greater significance to the Dark Jedi. It was where the exiles had changed from being Dark Jedi and created the Sith signifying their change and the end of the true Dark Jedi. What better place to signify their rebirth?

Reaching beneath his desk Nikias withdrew a bottle of ale and a glass. He'd brought a few bottles with him ahead of time preparing for such an eventuality. The entire meeting went as well as he expected. They were all rogue individuals, for them to listen and come together was against their very nature and Nikias was forcing them to go against it. Many would never accept such a thing, even less would give it a thought. At least the group Nikias had been able to draw in was something. Filling the glass to the brim Nikias sat back in his chair and took a sip of the ale. The warm liquid cascaded down his throat slightly warming the Hellyni's body.

The room was akin to an office as well with other chairs for those wishing to speak with Nikias. He had left directions to it for all those truly interested in the Brotherhood and wished to discuss things with him.

The meeting had been adjourned and the gathered rogues and dark Jedi were allowed to leave. Most of them did, and Zetha watched them go from her spot along the wall. She had never moved from that spot throughout the entire meeting. She was just lucky when a man stopped to talk to her. She didn't get his name. Bidding him farewell, she got up off the floor and headed out as well. However, unlike the many people that went back to their ships to leave, she went a different way. The young girl went deeper into the castle, following the directions that were left to tell people how to find who she assumed to be the leader of this little group.

The directions soon took Zetha to a door, which she paused in front of. She didn't know what to expect in there, but she knew she would be fine. She had been before the Jedi Council. They might not seem scary to outsiders, and they weren't. They were just intimidating in the sense of calm judging disapproval. And something told her that the man leading the Crimson Lotus wasn't the kind to lead with fear. That was a Sith way, and he had made it very clear that they hated the Sith way.

Letting out the breath that Zetha had been holding, she raised her fist and knocked.

This is only the first step... There is still plenty more that needs to be done. Nikias thought. Tilting his head back and leaning on the rear legs of his chair, the Hellyni drained the last of the brown liquid before sitting the glass back on the table before him. So many had come when the call had been put out, and now Nikias had to figure out where to place those who truly joined. What type of positions they would hold and how'd they'd go about things with him keeping a rein on them without it seeming as though he was. Sighing he rose from his chair and looked out the window that the sun filtered through. Covered in a layer of dust it was hard to look out at the ships as they left but not impossible. Nikias wasn't the type to beg so if some decided not to return he would not be mournful; it was their choice after all.

Ears perking up at the sound of a rapping on the door Nikias lifted up his right hand. Without even looking at the door Nikias controlled it with the force. Creaking open the door would allow whoever had entered to walk in. Simply looking over his shoulder to see who it was who had come Nikias spotted a young Togruta. He had noticed her when she had entered the main hall where all the others had been gathered but Nikias hadn't made any move to talk to her or any of the others during that time. Getting the message delivered had been the most important thing.

"So... You've come. How can I help you?" Nikias asked. From first glances Nikias wasn't sure if the Togruta woman would be up for just what The Brotherhood would do. Would she be able to stomach it? Returning back to his seat Nikias pulled out another glass and offered some of the liquor to Zetha. "Come take a seat, anything for a potential brother."

The door creaked open. Lowering her hand down to her side, she entered, every respect protocol that she learned instinctively came into play. She watched the silver haired man turn, those golden eyes meeting her violet ones. He offered her a seat, calling her a potential brother. Zetha quietly took it, and felt a small urge to correct him to 'potential sister', but she refrained. She was getting the vibes of a powerful man, one who controlled everything, everyone as his puppets, even though he had a strong urge to make them feel like they were free. She did not want to step out of line to correct him. Some, maybe even him, might say that it was fine if she did, but she had a feeling that if she were to actually do the deed, she would pay. Severely.

"Sir," she sat still, her hands folded in her lap. "My name is Zetha Vesh. I used to be a Jedi padawan, but ran away after finding their ways and code to passive and weak." She held [member="Nikias"]' gaze, her eyes never once leaving his. Confidence was the key in important conversations like this. "I tried going on my own for awhile, but I always ended up going nowhere. I overheard some lower class smugglers on Coruscant talking about this meeting. Intrigued, I came."

She paused. He had asked how she could help him, but so far she had to answer his question. Come on, think! She could tell he was unimpressed with her. "I want to help the Order. In my youth I was called a prodigy in my connection to the Force. I'm useful." Was that enough?

Sir... Nikias thought as the word rolled off Zetha's tongue. It was not something he was fond of, and while it was a great sign of respect he did not want the young togruta to feel as though he'd look down upon her or had some significant power over her. Not yet speaking Nikias would let her finish but at the same time refilling his glass and giving Zetha a full glass of her own. The Ale was strong and had a sweet taste to it along with the strong bite of alcohol. "Well Zetha, first off you don't have to call me sir. Call me Nikias, or Nik. In this room and even out there I see you as an equal. Do not think of yourself as a lesser, this faction is not based around the ego of its members." With a flick of his finger Nikias guided the drink to Zetha where it landed at the edge of the desk for her to pick up.

"That is an interesting story you have on your hands as I was the same way as you." Nikias said looking up at the ceiling and reminiscence about his times with the jedi. The times where he had never truly accepted the code and none would take him as a Master. Nikias had reached the level he was all on his own dedication with a little help here and there from Ganner Rhysode's holocron. "Yes the jedi are to passive much of the time. As you can see their passiveness has led them to leaving the Galactic Republic high and dry against the Sith... What a shame."

"Do not worry, this will be different. We will not be the ones to sit on the sidelines. When the time for action comes we will join the battle, though a prodigy is always something good to have among our ranks. I'll have high expectations of you... So what can you bring to the Brotherhood?"

She knew she was in trouble almost a second after [member="Nikias"] opened his mouth. He didn't like being called sir. However, he did say that the faction wasn't based around ego. That was a good thing. She was too used to and tired of a hierarchy of condescending and absolute leaders. It was good to seemingly have a break. She wondered if it was just a ruse, or if it was legit, but she couldn't feel that he was lying. She watched the glass of ale slide over to her. Picking it up, she took a small sip. Well it didn't burn her throat. That was good.

She had just taken another sip when the question; what can she bring to the Brotherhood? Zetha set her glass down. "One thing that I was especially good at was telepathy. Feeling emotions. Reading memories. And no reading memories is not something they trained at the Temple. It just kinda...happened subconsciously and I just...went with it. I guess." She paused to take another sip of ale. Her mouth was dry from sitting in his presence and ale wasn't the most hydrating. But it was something to distract herself with. "There were a lot of coincidences too. Word would get around among the padawans what the Council had planned as their next move. I would almost always just know what they chose before I was told. And I knew the outcome of their mission before they returned and more gossip went around." She chuckled a bit. "Us padawans really did gossip like a bunch of old ladies when the Knights weren't around."
