But her origins trace back to a former Jedi Master, Aaralyn Rekali, whose fate was forever altered after a fateful encounter on Empress Teta.
  
  In a gruesome battle against the Embers of Vahl, Aaralyn Rekali was broken and brought to the brink of death. It was in her moment of despair that she whispered ancient incantations, invoking the dark goddess Vahl herself. The spirit of the Jedi Master shattered, its fragments scattered across the cosmos in various shades and echoes, leaving behind only a hollow shell of the woman she once was. Into this empty vessel, the Goddess Vahl breathed new life, reshaping it in her own image. As an extension of the Goddess Vahl, Darth Ira became a harbinger of chaos and death, sowing destruction wherever she went. While the Galaxy at large believed that the Sword of the Jedi had returned to the light, the truth was far more sinister.
