Dark Training

Jace had just arrived back to the Dragon Palace Casino on Antecendent, home to the Red Ravens. He had been out on a mission to kill a distinguished politician who had been attempting to convince the people to stand up against the growing crime syndicate of their world, a fools task. It proved to be a simple mission, much to Jace's dismay, he had found the man in one of the famed brothels near the capital. Jace looked at the man eager to see something that may prove a challenge, but all he saw was an overweight fool, who just wanted to make a name for himself. He hadn't even bothered to hire a notable security team, just comprising of two droids and a mandolorian exile. Jace sighed a breath of contempt as he approached the target, quickly Ionizing the two droids rendering them disabled. The mandolorian, at least, may prove a challenge, but when he saw the exile charge him without form or a plan, he found himself once more disappointed. He went turned on his saber and quickly dispatched the soldier using Trakata, quickly extinguishing his lightsaber and reigniting after it had passed by the blade, landing a hit to the mandolorian's left shoulder downward to his right hip. The politician was in horror as he saw his bodyguards dispatched in such a quick gruesome manner. He begged Jace for his life, offering money, power, fame, but none of these things would save the coward. Jace wanted to make him suffer so he cut the man lightly on his wrist, but once he applied Crucitorn it may as well have been the whole arm. Still too weak, Jace thought to himself, for his Crucitorn, although rare, did little to note about as it was, he could have just cut the arm off to save the time. Then he remembered one of his fellow Ravens, by the name of Andras Caim. He remembered hearing how he was a master of Force Lightning, a truly frightening power, and one Jace wanted for his own. He was lost in thought but returned to reality when he saw the quivering man attempt to flee, but he made it no more than 5 feet before his head was separated from his body. He left the brothel in a rush, determined to find his senior Raven and learn from him, the secret of lightning.

The Casino was always a little bit noisy. However, I dealt with it since this was the closest form of a place where I could look at "art" as well as get myself a drink. I watched as a pair of Twi'lek's passed me. Both were green skinned, and both had a lack of clothing to cover themselves. Each carrying a trey with food, it was to be taken to one of the customers who ordered the few dishes that were on the platters. I turned my attention from them and back to my glass of beer. Taking a nice sip and letting the warm liquid run down my throat.

I then sat the empty glass on the counter. before I had taken my hand away from the glass, there was already a new one for me. Looks like we had a good bartender tonight. I pulled out a credit chip and slid it on the table. "Keep up the good work lad. There may be more for you should you do so." Standing up, I walked away from the bar. Heading towards the room that I owned as Andras. Quite a funny name really. The name taken from a Fallen angel who had the head of a raven and was the protector of darkness. As well as Caim. Another angelic name for a ruler of the eleventh hour. The ending, or the last few seconds of time.

I walked over to the elevator, opened up the doors and pressed the button for the third floor.

Jace had walked back to the Dragon Palace Casino. He had run into some thugs on the way, but they were no more than practice, if even that. They must've been brave or stupid, because only one of those people would think about being a criminal on Antecendent without paying the Red Ravens, soon they would have the entire planet, even the alleyways, under their control. When he finally reached the Casino he noticed two of the usual guards standing outside, Lysle was clever enough to keep the rest hidden to both, seem more friendly, and more importantly make the enemy underestimate them. As he wandered into the Casino, he crossed through the atrium to the bar, as he passed, he seemed to attract the attention of a few young women, two humans and a chiss. Normally, Jace would've enjoyed the flirting, engaging the girls in their chatter as he played with the thoughts in their heads, but he was eager to see Andras, so he gave them women compliments, ordered them drinks then excused himself to the bar.

When he walked up to the bar, he asked the man at the counter if he'd seen Andras around lately. "Yes," the bartender replied, "he just headed his room on the third floor."

"Thanks for the information." Jace replied, then he left the desk and pushed through the people between him and the elevator, ignoring the people who attempted to talk to him. When he got to the elevator, he pressed the button for the third floor, waiting impatiently as it rose. When he finally got their, he quickly found his way to Andras's door, and with a few quick knocks, waited for an answer.

After reaching my room, I began to take off my coat. Putting up the Echani Vibrosword up in the closet, I sat down on the couch to take off my boots when I heard a knocking on the door. I rolled my eyes and shouted out through the door to whoever it is, "Closed for the day." I then began to untie my shoes. Wanting to get dinner done and finished so I could prepare for my trip back home where my real house was.

Jace grew frustrated at Andras's reply to the knocking. "Well if that's how you want to play it," Jace started, "guess you don't really leave me a choice." With that Jace lifted his hand to the door, blasting it down with the force. Jace stepped into the room to find a surprisingly casual room, much to Jace's disappointment. "Aren't you Sith supposed to have ritual tables and obelisks dotting the room?" he said with a half-laugh.

I sat on the couch as the door then blew open. As from where I was sitting I had to lean up to avoid having the door hit my head. However, I acted casual when the man in blue robes walked in in a rather disappointed tone spoke about having ritual tables. I shook my head as I pointed to the now open door. "First off, I did not allow you into my residence. Second, you will be fixing that door, door jam, wall, Everything. Third, I have those, but they are not here, and if I had them, they would not be out in the open for you to see."

Standing up my boots were half laced. I looked at the young man. Clearly he had never seen me before because I stood almost seven feet tall. As well as my very muscular form. He might have not noticed until now that I was not really a person to barge in on. Nor to simply act as an equal. "You are lucky I am in a good mood boy. I could have you on the ground in pieces by now if I didn't feel like killing you would end my career here."

I looked the man over. Just for a second. "Now, tell me why you felt it was necessary to blow down my door when you could have stated your intentions of being here through the door?" Rash, bold, defiant. I once knew a man like him.

"The droids will fix it, it's what their made for." Jace stated, then he remembered that he hadn't actually seen the man before, he was shocked when he saw the large man rise from his seat, he never met someone so big before, human at least, and it filled him with both a sense of fear and admiration, but he did his best not to let any of these emotions show, not that it'd matter in the face of a man of his power. "I came to ask you for some training," Jace said, backing up to lean on the wall outside, the further he moved back, the smaller he felt at least. "I heard that you were a master of Force Lightning, a power I very much desire."

I shook my head as the man stated that the droids were made to fix the door. I stayed silent even as he backed up into the hall to ask for training in the force. I shook my head already. Denying the man what he wanted. "Yes, droids fix things, However, you must be able to learn, and understand that just because it can be fixed, does not mean that you need to break it." Pointing to the door that was laying on the ground. "While this may seem nothing to you, you need to learn that it may mean everything to someone else. Now. If you want training, especially in a force power that is very corrupting, as well as deadly, why should I train a rash, reckless, young, foolish, and arrogant young man who knows little to nothing of the powers that he controls?"

I doubted that this young man could really be worth my time. However, I would give him one, and only one chance to prove to me that he is worth my time, and effort. As well as his own.

"You're right for the most part, I don't know how to use my powers, but that is why one seeks to learn." Jace said with a serious tone, "I've been masterless for around three years now. It was a Jedi, when I turned to the dark side, he attempted to stop me and he ended up dead because of it, he taught me to use the light side to keep the dark at bay, to control my abilities, but when the light was all but ripped out of me, balance was gone. My powers, just like my tendencies, since then have often become erratic and deadly, causing them to spike every now and then. But this is why I wish to learn, so I may control these powers to the degree I wish, rather than having them remain out of control." What he said was true, he had little control over his abilities at sometimes, so he only tended to use them to fight, with the exception of Mind Trick. "In any case the door was to get attention, just as a man pulls out his sword, or ignites their lightsaber. I'm aware of my age, to all I'm a punk kid, so sometimes I have to use a bit of force to show them I'm not just some child."
