There was a discomforting quiet as she stared out the viewport, hyperspace's churning innards blazing past the shuttle's viewport. The Explorer Two wasn't a bad ship, all things considered. Designed for work in the outer rim, and well equipped to make the long trecks around the galaxy's wild edges, the vessel had gotten her through a lot. But she also wasn't used to sharing the small space with others.
It would be another hour before they left hyperspace, and she had spent most of that reading up on the stronghold they would be breaking into. Some old Black Sun Fortress, hidden away on an island on Riileb. They'd have to be sure they had the place right, and hope none of the old defenses were active.
Even a Sith Lord, an ancient warlock, and the Keeper could be overwhelmed by defenses meant to keep their kind out. Maybe she should have brought Mara along. The woman knew these things better than she did. The only reason she wasn't here was that she shouldn't be doing this. She had work to do, lessons to transcribe, answers to find. But it was too promising.
The Book of the Sith. After long last.
