Stun Panels: For those wishing to break into the car will get a nasty shock if not holding the proper keys.
Strengths:
- Fast and Armed: For getting the bad guys in the city or to transport a VIP out of the area, it is fast and can defend itself in combat.
- I Have a Few Optional Extras Installed: Most of the weaponry and gadgets is concealed from view until it is revealed, making it look like just a regular stylish luxury car
- Hard to Repair: It requires a very skilled mechanic to work on the car as all the parts are very close together.
- Fuel Hog: It does not have good fuel mileage, it is a fast attack car, what did you think it would do?
- Very Slow Recharge: Shield Generator once down does not recharge very quickly, taking almost five times the amount to recharge normally.
Sometimes a man just needs to sit back and have a nice car. Listib Hibins had a bad run in with a local gang as he had his ride destroyed and complained about it for a near constant ten minutes. What happened next was incredible as the technicians took the car out near the garage and two days later, presented him with a new car concept, the Darkal Model Series. It was talked about but never put into full production though the moment the seal on top was open and seeing six beverage cup holders, Listib was on board.
What they did in those two days was rework the entire trunk space, save for a very small amount, to install a shield generator. Naturally this took a large amount of fuel but it allowed the car to be shielded from a few stray blaster bolts or a nasty missile hit. Defenses added included full Stun Panels which linked into the car battery system and a smoke screen that can deploy by trapping in carbon monoxide for a few seconds then spewing it out through the exhaust in a shotgun like effect, clouding the car in smoke and making it impossible for the one chasing to see ahead of them save for thermal vision.
The weaponry installed resulted in much of the cars parts being squeezed together. The start was twin linked, one on each side, Ax-20 Blaster Cannons that can fire in front of the target. In addition, a set of dual linked homing missiles were added that fired with the headlights being pushed down to expose the missiles and three seconds after targeting, firing at the target. A rear firing Ax-20 Blaster Cannon was also added in to fire at enemies from behind that are in pursuit and lastly added, a mine layer underneath the "Vantage" that deployed LX-4 Photon Mines on delayed proximity for three seconds before activating and destroying any target that gets into its proximity range.
Overall, it was a nice surprise by the technicians for their boss as he announced that the Darkal series was to be initiated after that point with several cars being added, two currently to sell to the public for promoting the next series of Darkal Model Combat Cars.
