Darkness runs in the family.

Nima Tann

Master of Her Own Destiny
Time: Before the Netherworld Event

Location: Temple

After completing their task of constructing a new saber for the newcomer Aerin Firebrand, she was a strong one indeed, her skills were needed in the Order, they returned to their homes. The only one unhappy about this journey was Nima, because she didn't feel that good today. Hearing voices and getting the group in danger countless times, she thought that she was having a bad day. And her temperature was a little high, probably because the cold of Rhen Var, she didn't expect that much cold. Okay Nima, everything'll be okay... Just sleep and tomorrow it'll all end. She slowly laid her head on her pillow and closed her eyes...

Hours later...

Beep beep beep beep beep.. You have one message... Press the button to listen... Beep beep beep beep...

"Ugh... Who is this in this hour..." She opened her eyes and looked to the empty room. It was already morning... Well she only slept like an hour and the sun already was telling her to get up. The commlink continued to beep... She got up from the bed and continued on the direction. She could leave it near the bed but why not go all the way to the living room to press a button, right? After seconds, she arrived to the room, and the voice of the commlink started to become irritating. Shut up... She pressed the button and heard the static. And the deep voice, not like a human though, a droid maybe, came afterwards...

"Nima Tann... I know why you acted that way back in Rhen Var. I know where your real family is. If you want to know... Come to the cave... back in Ryloth. Back to the place where you spent your whole time with your sister." But... how... How could it know that... Unless... it wasn't lying.

She pressed the record button as she didn't want this information totally, and there was one person she wanted to show it. Master E'ron would be the best person to show, but since she wasn't around, since she said that she was going somewhere important. So the second person she trusted with her life, [member="Connor Harrison"]. Besides she wanted to talk about yesterday anyway, since she wasn't herself and she had some issues that could put the group in danger.

She started to walk towards his chambers, he was probably there.

Standing by the spherical frosted window looking out to the rear of the temple, Connor Harrison stretched his arms gently, after morning exercise in his little hideaway from the rest of the world. Turning away and arching his back in a slight stretch, he stood in his black vest, covering the Sith scars and constant reminders.

Reaching up and scratching the nape of his neck, he walked forward slowly and sat on the edge of his bunk and leant back on his hands with a gentle sigh.

His eyes scanned the room, losing himself in the warm orange and electric blue mood lighting, contemplating where next to go in his journey of self-discovery.

Opening her commlink, she sent a message to [member="Connor Harrison"], he could be busy too and she didn't want to make him angry any more. Yesterday was already a mess. "This is Nima, if you are not too busy I need to talk to you about something." she said, and continued towards the Temple garden towards the Temple Interior. Normally she would walk here so slow, looking at every flower, smelling every beautiful scent... Maybe watch the sun go up... But this situation was dire and she had to act quickly, so it was no time for luxuries.

Quickly moving towards the newly Master's chambers, she thought who could it be. The communication between her and her sister was cut weeks ago, and she was afraid that there was something wrong, since she was a Sith. The worst failure of her... She couldn't bring her back to the Light, and now she lost her again. Maybe this man would now something about her... but this would be totally a trap too. That was why she needed another one, to watch her back but also a trusted one, because this was a secret of her, her real family. And there would be misunderstandings if she've told anyone.

And she wasn't that much sure how he would react when he learned this little secret.

The comlink sounded on his bedside table and his eyes opened. Hands linked on his chest, breathing steadily and taking time out, Connor turned his head to the voice of young Nima Tann. Her request was simple, and to the point.

To say their relationship was unique was an understatement. He had nearly killed her, and she had nearly killed him. He had pushed her to the edge and she had goaded him to the edge. But, somehow, they were still here and still together in the Order. And he owed her all the help he could, because whatever his problems were, he had distanced himself from the Knight after all their past to protect himself and her.

But as Master, he had an obligation to help her. And as a friend.

He leant over on his elbow and took the com in his hand, returning to her frequency.

”This is Connor. Come to my chamber when you’re ready.”

He fell back on the bed, and sighed. Drumming his fingers on his chest, he waited.

"Thank you." She closed her commlink and made her way towards the newly-promoted Master's chambers, she still wasn't sure what to say and what to do, she hoped that everything would go okay as soon as she came clean... After minutes, she was just outside the door, and from the glass door she could see that he was in the room.

"I am just outside, coming in." She said, taking a big breath afterwards. Why was it so difficult?... Well she knew why. Because she didn't believe herself too, all of those years later suddenly a message arrives. And after she started to hear things and act strange? This wouldn't be coincidence.

Well, here we go...

As the door opened slowly, her legs moved without her want, she really wanted it to end before being such a problem. And she really wanted to say sorry about yesterday, because she didn't act like herself, almost like she was being controlled by someone.

"Hey Connor." She was still thinking about what to say first, and he was a smart one so he would understand something was going wrong immediately. "I wouldn't disturb you if it wasn't that important, but I want to talk to you about yesterday... and this morning."

And he waited, until hearing her voice on the com that she was outside.

Connor got up as the door opened, and in Nima came. She looked older, wise, but still troubled. Her crimson skin and dark tattoos giving a mystical and alluring, but dangerous, image to those who didn’t know her.

With a smile, he waved her in.

”Nima, don’t worry – it’s fine. It’s been a tough few days. Come on in.”

He walked to the kitchenette and took a bottle of Blue Milk left standing on the side and had a good mouthful, wiping his chin with the back of his hand.

”So what’s up.”

The way these two were, he didn’t feel it necessary to offer her a drink – if she wanted one, she would get one. Their time recently had been tense to say the least, but they had history, and that was strong foundations for their friendship.
