Touched with Alchemy (Like much of anything pertaining to the SIth that is Darth Abaddon, the bracer has been augmented by way of Sith Alchemy. Because it has been altered by way of Sith Alchemy, this bracer has become more durable, particularly the cortosis used within the bracer itself. This offsets the typical brittle nature of the cortosis allowing it to share a similar durability to that of duraplast)
Cortosis (This bracer incorporates the use of cortosis ore, as its original concept was to be made as an extra element among defense against lightsabers and lightsaber strikes. The added cortosis ore in the bracer’s makeup, allow for it to short out and/or disable a lightsaber’s blade should it contact the bracer. It also allows for an increased effectiveness in defense against both kinetic attacks and blaster fire)

A bracer of Darth Abaddon’s own creation, this relic was unearthed by the Jedi Master, Aitir Kor’sa, at the same time the mask, Nirwos, was discovered on the Deep Core Planet of Prakith. The nature of its creation was a mystery at the time, but as the Jedi’s body and mind was taken over by the Sith Lord’s spirit that now controls him, the knowledge inlaid with this relic’s history were revealed to him.

The bracer itself, was of a simple, yet archaic design, with darker hues of grey and black that dominate its outward appearance. The leatheris the binds the materials together, as well as insulates and pads it, is also a deep onyx in color allowing for it to carry a dark and foreboding symbolism. Cortosis ore has been folded over with the duraplast that stands as its signature element of protection to allow it to have an unusually high effectiveness against the dangers that a lightsaber turned against the wearer presents. In addition, this piece of armor has been alchemically enhanced by way of sith alchemy and carries a dark aura at all times to accompany its increased durability.

• Cortosis (use of cortosis ore allows for the temporary shorting out and disabling of a lightsaber that would strike it)
• Lightweight (because the materials incorporated within the bracer are lighter in weight than a number of other materials normally present in armor craftsmanship, the overall weight of this item is rather light. Because of this, movements performed and not slowed to any noticeable degree)
• Sith Alchemy (the cortosis utilized within the bracer’s construction has been alchemically enhanced to provide more durability, thus altering the typical brittle nature of cortosis into something reminiscent of duraplast)

• Alchemy’s Drawback (Sith Alchemy always has some kind of drawback to level its aid. In this case, to increase the bracer’s durability, the piece as developed not one, but two significant equalizers)
  Dark Aura is always present which renders any attempt for the bearer to shadow their own force signature useless. When this bracer is worn, the wearer will always emit a heavy dark side aura, no matter what steps they take to subdue that
• There is a constant burning sensation that accompanies the wear of this bracer. Because of this, the bracer can only be worn for a limited time before it must be removed in order to not suffer significant nerve and tissue damage

[*]Limited Range of Motion (Because this is a plated bracer/gauntlet, the full range of motion in the wrist and fingers are compromised to a degree)
[*]Power of Light (Because the bracer/gauntlet has been altered through the process of Sith Alchemy, Force abilities such as Force Light and Wall of Light could damage, nullify, or even destroy it)
