Crafted by the Zabrak Sith Lord, Darth Atrox during his exile on Dathomir, this lightsaber was built from the remains of his former lightsabers and features a phrik hilt which prevents its destruction at the hands of another blade. The kyber crystal, which is closely bonded to Darth Atrox, was cracked and warped with the darkside of the Force over a long period time, which is a reason for its close affinity to its master.
Slightly lightweight, it can be difficult to wield without consistent training and familiarisation with the blade's unique properties. Despite ensuring that only the most worthy are able to wield his blade, the fact that it can only be activated by the Bogan means that should Darth Atrox ever fall from the darkness his blade would become obsolete. It also means that it is completely useless if his enemies use Force Sever, or for non-Force users if they carry Ysalamiri as the Mandalorians did against the Sith, he would be without a weapon and hence very vulnerable.
