PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION
Darth Baucherous is an enormous specimen of the Hutt species, abnormally so for his age and no doubt a result of his unrivalled gluttony. Due to his size, he is non-ambulatory, requiring a large hovering platform to move him around. His face is permenantly stained with spice residue, remains of food, and juices of many origins.
PERSONALITY AND BELIEFS
Baucherous is an epicurean master of vice and an unrelenting consumer of just about everything. His interests align exclusively with what can bring him the most pleasure, or the produce him the most profit, because money does in fact buy happiness. Making money also means inevitably creating more suffering for those who are not Dath Baucherous, something that brings the Sith Lord great joy.
STRENGTHS
- Amply Proportioned: Due to his gigantesque frame and the natural resilience of Hutt physiology, Baucherous is well-protected against bodily harm, having plenty of flesh and fat to spare should he suffer an injury.
- Immune System: As a result of centuries of substane abuse and a diet that would be too much for some other Hutts, on top of natural Hutt immunity to toxins, Darth Baucherous is practically immune to any poison or toxin on account of having probably already consumed it and adapted to it at some point in his well-fed life.
WEAKNESSES
- Immobile: Reliance on a floating throne for movement means that Baucherous is not only slow, but vulnerable if his aid were to be compromised. In extreme situations he could likely support himself with the Force, but this would take immense effort and likewise probably leave him vulnerable in other ways.
- Ontological Hedonist: For Darth Baucherous, fitting of his name, the meaning of life is pleasure and enjoyment of the finer things. Unfortunately, this causes him to often be distracted from the real world by his pursuits. In fact, it is well known among the Hutt community that Baucherous, despite being a full-fledged Dark Lord of the Sith, spent much of the 9th century ABY in a state of constant narcotic bliss.
HISTORY
Darth Baucherous is a Hutt's Hutt, descending from a long line of Banite Hutt masters, and embodying the worst of every Hutt stereotype as an obese crime lord devoted to hedonism. Though his early life is kept secret, he and his master first appeared on Nar Shaddaa during the later years of the Dark Ages. Over three and half centuries he built a criminal empire in the deepest parts of the underworld, both literally and figuratively. Slavery, drugs, and murder were all for sale in abundance in Baucherous's empire. Some say that he became a Sith Lord when he devoured his own master, and if such rumours are true that it is no doubt his greatest achievement. Compared to the many other Sith of the galaxy, Baucherous was deeply unambitious. Never taking an apprentice of his own, nor scheming any great plans, he spent centuries among the Hutt cartels, far more interested in their business than the business of galactic domination.
For much of the 800s while the galaxy began to tear itself apart once again having just gathered the strength to do so, Baucherous sat happily on the sidelines, alternating between years of narcotic bliss and years of gambling on the outcomes of several different galactic conflicts, some times literally and sometimes through less-than-careful investing in certain military-industrial complexes.
In the wake of the Second Great Hyperspace war, which Baucherous had considered a droll rehashing of Light versus Dark and an all around unprofitable venture, he became increasingly involved in the resurgent power of the Hutts. He profitted significantly from this, until the day that a crew of his finest operatives seized a Galactic Alliance convoy filled with re-acquired relics from the Brotherhood of the Maw, and Baucherous realized he had been entirely mistaken about them. His realization of the loot gathered by the Maw began to bother him for years, regretful of all the profit he actually could have made from plundering. Thus, when his spy network learned of the Darksiders influencing the Imperial warlord cliques, he ventured off of Nar Shaddaa to Carlac to find out if the rumours were true, that the New Sith Order and the Brotherhood of the Maw yet lived and sought to make their mark on the galaxy once again. This time, Darth Baucherous would get fabulously wealthy...
