STRENGTHS
- Extra reach: Due to the longer handled integrated into this style of lightsaber it is particularly suited to engagements at length making it optimal for a duelist who can fight at range. The handle, requiring a particularly fighting style from the wielder to be most effective can also be easily swung around the body for optimum leverage.
- Superior Control: The Sapith Crystal integrated into the construction of the lgihtsaber ensures that an intense blade is generated and also enables the wielder to control it more proficiently than otherwise. In a sense this counteracts the awkwardness some might encounter in wielding a larger blade and allows for some degree of acrobatic wielding where one might otherwise such manuevers difficult.
- Operates in Water: Due to the addition of a Bifurcating Cyclical-Ignition Pulse the lightsaber is capable of continuing to operate in water.
WEAKNESSES
- Cortosis: Like most lightsabers contact with cortosis will short the energy blade for a limited tiem requiring the blade to be reactivated, a short but potentially dangerous process especially in the midst of combat.
DESCRIPTION
A Long-handled lightsaber optimized for two-handed use it sports a hilt that twice again as long as a regular lightsabers ensuring that when wielded the hands can comfortably fit anywhere along its length. The Blade is an intense crimson due to the Spaith Crystal used in its construction and half again as long as a regular lightsabers accounting for the long handled design. Unlike some lightsabers of a long handled design this version does not account for a second blade and thus cannot also be used as a Double-Bladed Lightsaber.
The Hilt is magnetized to prevent it from being pulled from the wielders grip and a Bifurcating Cyclical-Ignition Pulse outfitted in the lgihtsabers construction ensure it will continue to operate in and under water.
