The weapon of Darth Malgus, claimed by Darth Imperius during the New Sith Wars, is a weapon that has seen conflict and battle beyond comprehension. More importantly, it has seen victory and enduring defiance and willpower far, far superior to that of any being ever walking the planes of the Galaxy. Its once unique design is a shadow of its former self, yet working still. The hilt is worn, damaged as it was during the Battle of Ilum and the Battle for the Meridian Complex and has since an unstable blade.

Darth Imperius has claimed to have found this weapon in the remnants of the long gone Sith Empire where it was buried together with Malgus in a location unknown, back then still called Malgus the Betrayer. He had ascended beyond the chains of Empire, above the need to serve and satisfy a master. It was he who had a vision of the future, a Galaxy in flames. It was he who saw the neither the Jedi nor the Sith will ever win their eternal war if they continue to battle each other like in the days of old. It was his vision that Imperius adopted and transformed, just like he took his lightsaber to claim a new future.
