Voice of the Emperor
Darth Meritum is a figure that has long been known in the Sith community - but not as a great conqueror or exemplifying figure, but as someone consistent and wise. While his true name is not known, Darth Meritum has served various Sith governments for over 40 years, beginning when he was a teenager on Coruscant. It was only after many years has he shown perhaps not his aptitude in making waves, but staying in the pool. Well over 50, Meritum serves as a senior to the vast majority of Sith - likely as a direct result that Sith die young.
While in previous administrations he has had privileged positions, at points becoming Governors of worlds, he has otherwise been a mid level buearacrat until recently. As Darth Empyrean took control of the Sith and established the first true Empire since the fall of the 10th, he was indoctrinated into the ways of the Eternalists and fell into line. After years of proving himself to the Sepulchral, and to the greater Order at large, Meritum was given the trusted role of 'Voice of the Emperor' - a position that allows him to speak with the full authority of Empyrean, extending the Emperor's powerful grip ever further and deeper into the Galaxy.
Now, he works to maintain peace in a fracturing Empire, ever mindful to make sure that he isn't the first to lose his life in a coming storm of intrigue.
