Development Thread: The Omega War (will link if necessary)
Manufacturer: Darth Sicarii
Model: N/A
Affiliation: Matsu Xiangu
Modularity: No
Production: Unique
Material: Barab Ingot, Duranium, Lightsaber components
Classification: Lightsaber
Size: One handed
Length: Hilt: 20cm. Blade: 150cm.
Weight: 2 kg
Special Features: With the casing made of Duranium, the hilt of Darth Sicarii's lightsaber is minorly resistant to glancing blows from other sabers and energy weapons. Utilized because of the high heat resistance of the metal, Sicarii considered it a natural pairing with the Barab ingot used as a focusing crystal.
Strengths:
+ The hilt offers minor resistance to lightsaber and energy weapon attacks. Glancing blows only.
+ Saber blade produces heat as an unstable by-product. Can be used to ignite fires on flammable materials.
Weaknesses:
- Requires training to wield with skill. The hilt is slightly heavier than an average lightsaber hilt, despite it's moderate length , and the heat given off by the blade itself can accidentally ignite something if not used carefully. The chance for collateral damage with this blade is high in unskilled hands.
- Damage to the hilt is difficult to repair, due to the challenging nature of this metal to work with.
Description: Darth Sicarii built his saber long before joining Kith Verloren in her crusade to silence the galaxy. Patient, but cruel, these two traits shine in the design and materials of this saber. He considered use of his saber to be secondary to his other abilities with the Force- but desired a weapon in his hands that burned with the same fire held in his most secret heart of hearts.
Not a subtle weapon, Darth Sicarii designed the saber to wreck havoc on the flesh of his enemies when he so deigned to use it. He reveled in the fact that he could not merely maim his opponents, but also scar them deeply in other ways- setting clothing or hair afire at his whim. The warmth of what this blade could accomplish contrasted sharply with the cold of the woman he eventually called Lady Molior, and he kept the hilt near him at all times, almost as if it could ward off her internal chill.
