---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESSES (Required: 2 Weaknesses Minimum) :
+ Physical Prowess: Styx is extremely muscular for one of his kind - the product of many years transforming his body into a Sith killing machine - but his brawny frame and strength do not deprive him from the agility, speed and stamina a high-tier practitioner of Echani Martial Arts like him should have.
+ Battle Precognition: As an Echani, Styx has the natural ability to foresee his opponent's next move or the outcome of a battle.
+ Sith Knowledge: Not only is Styx extremely powerful in the dark side of the Force, he is also deeply interested in Sith lore and magic, having unearthed a number of artifacts and even performed a few dark rituals.
+ Companions: Styx counts with the support of 2V-R8, his ship's droid, as well as that of the Narglatch, a creature he picked up on one of his travels and transformed into a deadly sithspawn absolutely devoted to him.
+ Craftsmanship: An armorer and weaponsmith, Styx crafts his own outfits and lightsabers, designed to provide maximum protection with minimum loss of flexibility.
+/- Strong ethics: Styx is zealous in terms of honor, tradition, patriotism, sincerity and hard work, all characteristics that every Echani strongly adheres to. While these make Styx an honorable foe and a loyal ally, they also have caused him and his kin much trouble, especially during his time as a Sith.
+/- Stoic personality: A reticent, impassive man, Styx often bears a cold, distant demeanor. Although it usually helps his intimidation and persuasion skills, this attitude of social resign deters him from building close relationships.
+/- Anger issues: To enhance his attuning to the dark side of the Force in battle, Styx draws on his limitless amount of pent-up rage, thus nearly becoming a berserk creature, with plenty of power yet very little self-restraint.
- Technophobe: Styx is by nature a conservative person. He is happy to know how to handle technology just enough to be able to drive his ship and make holocalls, but it becomes a lost cause beyond that.
- Lost in time: Emerging from hyperspace more than four thousand years after his fatal miscalculation, Styx reappears in a whole different, fractured galaxy. Bewilderment seizes him as he tries to make sense of the time and space he is in, and how much the galaxy has changed since the Great Galactic War.
- Temporarily Force-severed: One of the consequences of this time-travel accident was becoming cut off from the Force, at least temporarily. Although Styx has visions of wielding the Force once again, he must endure the loss of connection to the dark side until he has fully recovered it.
- Sensitive skin: The left half of Styx's face is covered by gruesome scars and burns from extreme overexposure to the sun of Ryloth. While those scars and burns have healed over decades, they still are quite sensitive to heat and contact with other surfaces, thus representing Styx's greatest physical weakness.
APPEARANCE:
Despite decades of wielding (and being wielded by) the dark side of the Force, Styx still maintains most of the Echani's natural physical traits. Styx is an Echani of average height, yet his athletic frame clearly outweighs that of his average kin. His complexion is of a pale white tone, except for the left side of his face, which bears horrible burns and scars. His hair is medium-sized, straight, and of a bright white hue. His eyes are silver, just like his fellow Echani.
BIOGRAPHY:
Darth Styx was born in Eshan, on 3,684 BBY. The son of a poor woman and an unknown father, Styx developed a strong, although unconscious, control of the Force early in his childhood - at the age of five, Styx already helped his mother on their tiny farm by plowing a small field by himself. This control of the Force improved furthermore as Styx grew, augmenting his natural physical capabilities. At the age of eleven, Styx had reached the last tier of the Echani martial art, an astonishing feat for someone so young. Times became harder, though: the farm was no longer producing enough for him and his mother to subsist. Thus Styx made a decision that would change his life forever: he became a gladiator.
Knowing the extent of his power, Styx roamed to the arenas of Geonosis when he was thirteen, eager to make credits and sent them to his mother. Unafraid of any opponent despite his size or arsenal, Styx beat his every foe bare-handed... except for one. Drugged by Imperial agents, the Echani was defeated by the one who would become Mandalore the Lesser by fainting after a long fight - and while Styx escaped with only a few bruises and wounds, the Mandalore was lucky enough to leave the arena with a crippled knee. The outstanding streak and consistent performances of the young Echani grasped the attention of an influential Sith named Darth Kronos.
Darth Kronos took Styx under his wing, though leaving him largely on his own. Styx learned how to control his spontaneous use of the Force. He grew quite strong in the dark side, learning how to use his fury to fuel his devastating power. In eleven years, Styx was deployed into numerous warzones, where his combat prowess and logic made him an invaluable asset to the Empire. His master, however, grew fearful of his rise, and so he planned Styx's ambush on Ryloth. Against far superior numbers, the young Sith Lord led his squad of Imperial troopers against two companies of Republic forces led by four Jedi. Lord Styx and his forces suffered overwhelming losses after he was trapped and nearly killed in a wall of light conjured by the four Jedi.
Left to rot on the Bright Lands of Ryloth, Styx lay unconscious on the desert for a couple of months in a deep meditation trance. Once he awoke, Styx learned of his master's scheme and faced him in Korriban, at the Dark Council's chamber, before the eyes of the dark lords. After a short fight, Lord Styx killed his master and took his place on the Dark Council, thus becoming Darth Styx.
Styx soon became the mastermind behind the Empire's successful onslaughts against the Republic. For seven years, Darth Styx was the Dark Council's war strategist, and his victories, along with his ethical decisions, brought the envy and anger of many a Sith. An invasion of the Echani homeworld was set in place two weeks before the end of the Great Galactic War without Styx knowing of it. The Devastation of Eshan, as it became known, resulted in the millions of Echani deaths, including Styx's mother. Outraged by this cheap, treacherous action, Styx promptly fled from Empire space, vowing to one day avenge his fallen folk.
Banned from the Empire and from home, Styx spent most of the Cold Wars period assisting the Republic and the Jedi on their proxy wars with the Sith. At the end of this time period, Styx was ambushed in a starfight and retreated to hyperspace; however, his ship's hyperdrive was heavily damaged and propelled him through time - over 4,000 years, to 837 ABY.
Unaware of his surroundings and severed from the Force by the time-travel, Styx now lands in a whole new galaxy, eager to ascertain what has happened over four millennia and how to return to his time.
