Born on Csilla, Vrix'ani'talor—known simply as Ani to those closest to her—was a prodigy within the Chiss Ascendancy. From a young age, she displayed an exceptional aptitude for genetics and biological sciences, earning a place in one of the Ascendancy's most elite research divisions. Her work focused on cloning technology, particularly the preservation of genetic memory—an area of study that was largely theoretical at the time.
Ani was always pragmatic, valuing logic over sentiment, but she held a deep loyalty to Csilla and the Ascendancy. She believed that science could secure their future, allowing them to surpass their limitations and ensure the Chiss would always have their strongest minds and warriors at their disposal. Following the destruction of Csilla by the Brotherhood of the Maw, Ani vanished from most records, though in truth, she merely drowned herself in research, becoming something of a fanatic.

HISTORY
When Csilla was destroyed, Ani's world shattered. Everything she had worked for—her people, her home, her research—was gone in an instant. Worse, the Ascendancy had failed to protect itself. The mighty Chiss civilization, with all its intelligence and strategic prowess, had been powerless to stop its annihilation. Ani saw this as the ultimate proof of the fragility of tradition and government.
In her grief, she abandoned what remained of the Chiss and sought a new purpose. The Sith Empire, with its promise of strength and power, provided an answer. It wasn't allegiance that drew her to them, but opportunity. Here, she could continue her research without restraint. Here, she could ensure that no knowledge was ever lost, no life wasted, no great mind extinguished before its time.
She became obsessed with the idea of continuity—not just cloning, but the perfection of memory transference. She wanted to create Force users who could live again and again, retaining everything they had learned in each iteration. Apprenticeship, training, and years of experience would become obsolete. The Sith would no longer need to start from scratch with each new generation. They would become eternal. If her people had the same chance, the same opportunity, perhaps they never would have perished.
Her brilliance quickly earned her a place within the Sith scientific divisions, but she found their approach crude and short-sighted. The Sith saw cloning as a tool for creating disposable soldiers and artificial bodies, but Ani saw something far greater. She pushed deeper into the fusion of Sith alchemy and genetic engineering, refining the process of memory transfer and creating increasingly stable Force-sensitive clones.
Over time, her experiments became infamous. Some Sith saw her as a necessary evil, a scientist who could push the limits of what was possible. Others saw her as a heretic, a scientist playing god in ways that defied the natural cycle of the dark side. But none could deny the results she produced.
As her work grew more radical, so did she. The name Vrix'ani'talor was left behind. She became Darth Veyriss, a master of reshaping life itself. Some whispered that she no longer saw herself as mortal—that she had already begun transferring her own consciousness into perfected clones, ensuring that she, too, would never truly die. She withdrew from others, disappearing for decades into an undisclosed location, before reemerging. She has spoken little on what she has worked on, but, given she seems rather changed from her time away anything is possible.

PERSONALITY
Ani despises inefficiency and imperfection in any form. If something doesn't meet her impossibly high standards, she will scrap it and start over without hesitation, even if it means discarding months or years of work. She is over-analytical, and fixates on strange things. She has no qualms about performing rather gruesome experiments, and is very callous to those who attempt to work with her.
STRENGTHS & WEAKNESSES
Strengths:
Brilliant Mind: Ani is a geneticist and remarkable scientist in the field of cloning and Sith alchemy, as such, she contains a wealth of information.
Trained in the Force: Ani, as a Sith Lord, is trained in the force and can use it to a very effective degree.
Adaptable: Ani has modified her body to a rather excessive degree, giving her some minor abilities to alter her appearance, though it is not without it's setbacks. It is a rather painful process for her.
Weaknesses:
Mentally Unstable: Ani has performed several body swaps on herself, with various degrees of success. In doing so however, she has drastically cut down on her life span due to unforeseen consequences.
Genetic Death: Ani has pushed her body too far, and as a result, her clones and herself are experiencing a level of cellular death. While she is trying to address and fix this issue, there has been little progress on this in the last several years. This has caused her a degree of concern, for obvious reasons.
