Nerves, not a feeling that Cass Gemini was entirely accustomed too, and yet here she was, in a nice restaurant, waiting for a wonderful man who cared about her but she felt like she had been eating butterflies. Her glass on the table was yet untouched as she waited. She knew he was in the denon system at the moment due to some business he was attending, she was here on personal matters. She laughed to herself looking at one of the tables that appeared to be missing its salt shaker.... is he already here?

She felt she had been an awful girlfriend lately, it wasn't uncommon for the pirates to not see each other for long periods of time, the galaxy was a big place and piracy was time consuming. But she had been actively avoiding him for several months and was worried he knew that now. She needed talk to him properly, lay her cards on the table and see what he thought. She thought, the last time they spoke was audio only about her becoming the Kraken figurehead? Wow, time was going by too quickly, she was 36 next week as well, that was scary, that is still mid thirties isn't it?

She sat waiting in the restaurant for her date to arrive, one of the waiters brought over a little plate of what looked like fried squid for her and she started nibbling on it. "Waiter, has Isidor Justeene arrived yet?"

"No, Miss Gemini, but we will make sure he is escorted over as soon as he gets here." Cass took another look in the mirror at herself and her outfit, why? She knew Izzie found her sexy, but right now she was back to her full and needy self. She would be relieved once he was here and they could at least get onto the delicate matter at hand.

Some tension had been brewing in and around Denon for some time, some strained relations. He had decided to go in and do something about it. But he was also distracting himself too. He and Cass have not spoken to each other for 7 months and it was concerning. Did Erion cause another bout of hostilities or did he harass Cass? No, not that he knew of, the Darksider was currently on a mission and preparing for something big away from the current matters.

He knew something was up, they barely spoke since then. He was going to try to sort it out but got a call to deal with something here. But now it has been resolved, he was on his way back to the main area. Then he got an invite to dinner, he had been worried about Cass, worried that they would break up.

No, it won't come to that, he had hoped that they would reconcile, 7 months is a long time of not speaking. He had been thinking about every possible thing that had happened and then some.

After what seemed like an eternity he arrived at the location, Isidor spent some time in the shower while in transit, he was so busy sorting out a territory dispute that he let his hair become greasy and he had to fight off the instinct to scratch at it. But now that it was done he gave himself a nice shower. Isidor was dressed for dinner and Isidor disembarked as soon as the ship landed.

Stopping at the door, he then after a pause went inside, the place was nice and the atmosphere was, well, fancy. Even the tableware looked unique, but he didn't take any, because he knew he was being watched, the temptation took the better sense of him and he carefully slipped them into a pocket.

"You must be Mr. Justeene, this way." The Zeltron waitress says cheerily, prodding him towards where Cass was sitting.

No kiss? No cuddle? Cass felt a little rejected by that as Isidor sat opposite him, but it was likely her own fault for neglecting him for so long. "Hey Izzie, I've missed you!" They had flown together since their last one to one meeting but Cass had always found a reason to stay aboard the Kyber why had she done that to the man she loved? She felt guilty, but was glad Dispara Na'Gara had finally convinced her to have this meeting.

She coyly told him to shut his eyes for a moment before standing, no doubt then respectful man would do as he was told. Cass walked around the table to him, stroking his hair and looking at him softly. "I am so sorry we haven't been together much lately, its been an unusual time. No opening your eyes until i say so ok?" she placed her finger beneath his mask in the way she usually did to indicate he needed to hold his breath to kiss her. Provided he did not reject her or give her signals otherwise, she would lift the mask and kiss him on the lips.

She then took both of his hands and put them around her middle for him to hold her. He would quickly notice a big difference, there was suddenly much more of Cass to love as if her stomach was swolen to twice the slim muscular woman she was once. She leaned down and whispered in his ear Suprise my love!

Isidor helped himself to the bread, it was fresh, he was awkward but he wasn’t upset. Far from it, he was concerned, so very concerned and did try to patch through a few times but no answer. He went around in circles when he was being diplomatic about the sheer absurdity of the regional spat that threatened to fracture the region.

It was about a satellite, a small rickety old thing with its panels missing, the frustration made his skin flare up in hives. Luckily he got them cleared up in time for the ceasefire finalisation. Diplomacy is draining, he had to respect the diplomats of the Galaxy for their infinite patience, he wanted to take his sword and bury it into their faces by the end of the 7-month long ordeal.

They barely spoke for months, Isidor had to think back and think of everything he said beforehand, was it something he said? No, no that’s not it. All these thoughts vanished when he held his breath and the warm fuzzy feeling hit him, the joy of being kissed. He missed the kissing, he missed Cass.

Dutifully he closed his eyes, he will not peek, even if his curiosity nagged him to take one little look. One tiny peek. Cass had doubled in size, which was odd but then as if a firework went off in his head, this means they are going to be parents. He kept his hand on her stomach and imagined the new life they created.

"It is, isn't it?" she replied, continuing to stand in front of Isidor while he held her and felt his first little kick. Cass winced a little. "They certainly have our fighting spirit in there. I'm sorry I didn't tell you sooner. It happened on our holiday, remember the wheat field?

Family is just not a good word for me, and if I'm honest, i was scared you would reject us, so I didn't want to risk giving you the chance to" she finally turned back and took her seat, with his eyes open he would easily be able to see the pregnancy, and it wouldn't take much for him to work out she didn't have long left, it was just over eight months since their holiday now.

"But you know Dispara Na'Gara , she just told me to woman up and grow a pair." The waiter came over and Cass ordered for the two of them, tonight was her treat, she had some serious making up to do after all, she ordered them both something nice, something she knew was one of Izzies favourites.

As the waiter left she let out a relieved sigh and smiled at Isidor Justeene , waiting for his response to her apology, Cass was a dick, but she felt loved by him and hopefully forgiven.

There there is, Cass was afraid he would do a runner and leave them to wonder why he left and become a deadbeat, the very thing he would not do at all. He could tell she could be thinking the same thing, at this moment, which was silly, he would never say no or vanish away and leave, he might have done this as a teenager when he was less than a stellar character, but that was a long time ago and he matured and promised to be a decent Pirate Lord.

The new life inside Cass needs him, Cass needs him. He wasn't angry about the radio silence, he understood why she did what she did. He loved her too much to be mad about it either way. Then he opened his eyes and saw the precious life in full, he held his hand on her bump as long as he could before Cass moved to sit down, this was the best news in the world and he knew that he was part of the future.

Of course, there are things they need to do too, there has to be a baby room, toys and depending on who's genes are more expressive, atmosphere control. He wondered who the youngster will take after more and whether the baby will be okay and that he won't have too much trouble breathing, Ubese babies do have a higher risk of respiratory issues, these lessen slightly as they get older.

He also helped himself to the wine and nodded in thanks to the waiter, hmm, fish was always his favourite thing, the peas never tasted like anything so he would usually remove them or mash them into his fish, it helped.

<"You shouldn't worry, I am not upset or angry."> He says gently, a chirp evident in his voice.

Cass smiled affectionately at Isidor Justeene "Thank you, it feels good to finally tell you. Its going to mix things up a bit isnt it." she laughed and took a drink. Stangely it wouldnt be the first baby on the Kyber there had been 2 other babies born to members of her crew in the last few years. She couldn't wait to introduce hers to the ship.

"So, I have been to the medics a few times, the pregnancy is going very well, all healthy and happy. I know what we are having, I had a strong feeling, apparently my force sensitivity does that, but the doctors confirmed it. Do you want to know?" she knew some people preferred a suprise, so she wouldn't spoil it.

The preparations were going well on her ship for the new arrival, but there was still more to discuss, and then there would be names, she knew the baby wouldn't have her real name, not even her boyfriend knew that. A little Gemini could be cute, but she would likely suggest Justeene as a surname. Was that even? "Here's a question, the name Justeene, is that your birth name? Or is it just your pirate title and you are secretly a Zambrano or some crap like that? Just thinking what we might call out bundle." she had a look of love in her eyes, yeah, using his name felt right.

She reached over to his plate and scooped up a fork full of peas, those little green horrors that plagued him so, and she ate them, she would take that hit for the man she loved. This was already turning out to be a fun date, and it felt nice to just be a normal couple, even if the corsair in her was still eyeing up the barmaid to take back to the room with herself and Isidor.

<"Surprise me, I like surprises."> He says with love in his eyes and tone. He was the happiest guy in the Galaxy right now and it shows.

He was full of love and will shower his child with affection once they arrive. He'll take on all the challenges that childcare comes with. All-nighters are not going to be a problem as Petra was younger than him and she screamed nonstop for seven weeks straight, poor girl had colic. So he's well used to fussy youngsters and crying.

Isidor liked surprises, and the reveal would be exciting and he wanted to not spoil it by knowing in advance, then Cass brought up a good question about names, naming a child is simple, but to have a meaningful name is a challenge, a challenge well worth the wait and trials.

They need to get a list ready, he is not great with names and up until now did not need to think about names, he named all the cats onboard the Lightning pretty well because he had a book of feline names with him. He'll need to find the right name, a name that fits.

<"Justeene is my clan name, we are clan orientated and live in over 10 family units within the clan,"> Isidor explained, careful to speak without a mouth full of food. <"I don't mind taking my last name for our child."> He adds, smiling as Cass took the offending green spheres as they were becoming an annoyance.

He was very open and candid about his upbringing and Clan, the good and the bad. He thought about omitting the fact that they take multiplication seriously as it was hardly appropriate right now. Isidor knew that their new bundle of joy will have plenty of relatives, uh if they accept the youngster that is. Erion certainly would not. Well not without a lot of convincing and diplomacy. That or a shouting match.

Cass beamed as Isidor Justeene said all the right things to her. She was in the best mood, but then came the other thing she needed to speak to him. She needed to tell him something.

"So my love, there is one more part of something i alluded to on Uba IV and bear in mind I have killed over this secret before." she laughed, but it was a laugh that said i am serious but really dont want to have to follow up. "I always said that once I married, I would confess this to my partner, well we aren't married but we have something much more to bond us now, and we did this because we love each other, not a drunken fling." she laughed nervously, she had always expected that her child would be a drunken fling but no, true love won.

"So my name, you know its Isabella already, and my middle name is Cassie, well here's the final part to the puzzle and it's a doozy.

Do you know the name Draellix? And yes, the first person that springs to mind with that name is probably the right person.

Isabella Cassie Draellix, thats my birth name, I was born an Ashlan and my baby sister is the Prime Minister of the Ashlan Crusade."

He needed to know this now, she needed him to know everything about her so she could truly decide whether she needed to build a life as a single mother or with a knowing partner. She breathed out a long sigh and looked across at him. She reached her fingers across the table and laced them in with his. It was an unbelievable feeling to tell him the truth.

Isidor was surprised and equally okay with the truth. He was not phased by the not joking bit about killing for secrets. He knew he will never betray her, ever. He was also glad that Cass trusted him enough to tell him. Isidor never tells secrets, not even the time he and Imran took a joyride on a speeder across the valley and beach and caused the troublesome birds to chase and peck them, they were Ubesian Gull/Goose Hybrids with the Goose and Swan attitudes dialled up to 10.

Worth it but the secret was withheld from the family as they did not want to have their free time revoked due to grounding. But this one that Cass revealed to him tonight was indeed very important and he swore he will not tell. Even if someone tried to make him. Although it was only fair to tell something about his own family.

Even if it was about his Sith Lord brother, she shared her real secrets with him so it was fair for him to do the same. He never really spoke about Erion in full, he did mention him a few times in passing but never in full. Yet now is the time, he'll talk about his large and colourful family, warts and all. Seeing as they were going to be inlaws at least when they tie the knot.

<"Well, let me start with the big one, my brother is a Sith Lord and is off doing awful things across the Galaxy. Erion is deeply Xenophobic. He does not approve of me dating outside the Ubese and he will rebuke our relationship harshly. The others are less narrow-minded about these kinds of things."> Isidor says, keeping his hand in hers.

Isidor's reaction was perfect, as she had hoped, and she trusted Isidor not to blab to anyone. "Thank you for understanding."

She listened to him describe his family, Isidor knew Cass didn't really care for all the Jedi and Sith stuff, but someone who does terrible things might be best to meet last. "I would love to meet your family, shall we start with Perta? Maybe you could invite her aboard the Kyber. Is she cute?" Cass laughed, probably not an appropriate joke but she was Cass.

"ooh, the baby is kicking again," she slid round the table and placed Isidor's hand on her, she also leaned over and began to kiss him gently on the neck, she whispered something private in his ear and then giggled, her hormones were all over the place at the moment.

"I hope you don't mind a rather soppy and affectionate pirate woman dragging you aboard her ship." she sat back up and adjusted herself a little before continuing with her food, it was so good to be here tonight, there was a party coming up on the Kyber but now it was just the two of them. She had other plans she needed to make. "I really never believed this would be my life, when I was a teenager, I was in a wealthy and stable family, but they couldn't handle me, and threw me put, so I didn't think I would be the type to have children, and maybe one day get married?" The inflection at the end of her sentence invited her boyfriend to answer with his thoughts on this. She wasn't expecting a proposal, but was very curious what he thought.

Isidor had to smile, he knew Petra would be eager to meet Cass and they would get along well. She's the only one that would talk to Humans on the Holo-net. So there is a 98% chance Petra would want to see Cass, and she can be persuasive in her prodding. He held his hand on Cass's bump, never daring to let go. He couldn't, there is a life inside that they both made and he will be the best Father there was. The easy and the hard parts, in sickness and in health.

Besides, he can rest easy knowing his crew can take care of things ship wise, well most of the time, there was that fire system malfunction 4 months ago, all the alarms went off all at once and the lower decks were filled to the brim with Foam. It was full of mushrooms for weeks after the incident, everyone put their hands up, including him and admitted oversight. Afterwards, there were no repeats.

His mind snapped back to the present. He wanted to tell Cass so many stories but, now was not the time. As his beloved sat back down, he loved her in any mood she was in, then his thoughts screeched to a halt, as he mentally mulled her words over. Marriage got him thinking long and hard. Usually, every union is arranged, with little say.

The matchmaker decides who marries who. Isidor was fortunate that Piracy prevented it. The whole idea was terrible, what if the couple feuded or clashed? Now here is a sable relationship where they are both in love and it was natural. So now lies the question, how to get married and how to plan for it, in the future?

Cass laughed at her playful boyfriend, stroking her fingernails against his neck. "eager to get me back to my ship, well, there is time for that, and pregnancy has made me very affectionate." she stuck her tongue out and tucked back into her food, dancing her neck back and force as if dancing to music only she could hear. She looked across the table through the tops of her eyes as Isidor watching her.

"What?" she grinned with a mouth full of food.

She wondered if her family would be interested to meet their newest member, her little sister might enjoy being aunty Isla. It almost sounded fun, if it wasn't so ludicrous. How in the force did she end up here. She wanted to tell Isidor so much what she was having, Ubese were quirky and family orientated, she wondered if there would be some family name Isidor wanted to use.

"So, the doctors have said little one is genetically about 55% human and 45% Ubese, an unusually even split, it does however mean its going to be a flip of the dice what its lungs do, I won't lie, I am hoping they can breathe oxygen, as much as I love you and your mask is part of the man I fell in love with, the world needs to see the beauty our love has created." She smiled and blew a little kiss at the man before putting more food into her mouth. This was tasty.

<"Just looking at the love of my life."> He purred, looking at her radiance, he will be taking more bubbly once they leave, so they can have some to themselves. He loved affectionate Cass, he loved serious Cass too, he loved all of her.

Genetics are like the sweepstakes of nature, they are utterly random and can throw up some interesting traits. He too hoped their treasure, their joy, was able to breathe the type 1 atmosphere. Helmets are a necessary restriction, but a restriction neither the less and he didn't want their child to be restricted by their lungs. Or to have neonatal pneumonia. Isidor was fit to burst with love and pride.

Then his mind turned to marriage, he will be sure to mull it over and somewhere down the line, he will pop the question, but he needs a way to do it that feels right. He needed to be sure that they can and were able to fully marry. Yet there was family to tell and wading through the reactions it will cause. A waitress lit a candle and placed it on the table in an ornate glass, Isidor will be taking that when the night is over.

<"There is a good chance our child will be more Type 1, but we can't rule anything out and we can't give the baby lozenges if their lungs are like mine."> There was a thought, how would they raise the youngster if his lungs were Ubese? Would they need special baby-safe lozenges or formula to breathe?

"We'll sort something out, if the baby can't breath oxygen then I'll make sure he had plenty of places he can be with the right atmosphere, I already keep a stock of lozenges for myself so will just have another reason to use them.

Speaking of which, when we get back to the ship we need to pop back to my quarters for a little while, might be our last chance before I pop." she grinned lustfully at her boyfriend, she felt so massive and her body ached all the time, but she knew she needed his attention, soon.

"How are you going to tell your crew? Think they will be excited? I think Pix thinks it's her baby too, I keep finding her looking at holo ads for baby stuff." It was very sweet, Pix was essentially Casses girlfriend and had been with her every step through the pregnancy, she was going to make an amazing auntie when the baby arrived.

Cass finished her main course and looked at Isidor Justeene . "so, are we ordering dessert?"

He needed to be close to her again to kiss her all over. But he had to shake the sudden image of Cass popping out of his head. It was an unwanted thought. Cass was big but that was more for him to cuddle. He was in a very cuddly mood.

He had wondered how he will tell his crew about the baby he knew they would be very happy for him, and Nikita will be concerned about what the baby can and cannot do. Isidor will reassure them that this will be taken care of and he knew Xenia would be knitting tiny mittens 4 pairs an hour, but you can't go wrong with knitwear. So he will have a small chest with knitted clothes.

<"Not yet, Nikita will be concerned, Xenia will no doubt knit mittens and other items so the baby would have clothing for cold weather.">

Giving the menu a look over, Isidor liked the ice cream and the berry selection. He thought whipped cream tasted like cardboard so he'll ask for the berries without the cream. Of course, he wanted Cass to go first when ordering dessert.
