STANDARD FEATURES
  • Standard Starship Materials
ADVANCED SYSTEMS
  • None
STRENGTHS
  • Fleet tender: The Galaxy was designed to the be flagship of any mercantile fleet, with enough crew accommodations to comfortably support the crews of escort vessels during long hyperspace travel. Its top deck is designed to house up to three vessels of Dawnstone origin, no longer than 750 meters in length.
  • Redundant hull: Given the sheer size of the Galaxy, a majority of the hull can be damaged and even breached without comprising the life support systems, slip-space housing and engine drives, and crew complements.
WEAKNESSES
  • A real whale: This vessel was not designed to be inherently fast or to fend off any attackers on it's own. Because of this the vessel is both extremely slow and clunky but also entirely defenseless on it's own.
  • Bare bones: The Galaxy is cheap for her size largely due to the minimal crew comforts and space beyond the warehouse. It does not use any advanced systems beyond what is required to get the vessel from point A to point B.
  • Unshielded: The Galaxy does not make use of shields due to the rising cost during the time of design and construction.
DESCRIPTION
Originally designed and commissioned by Dawnstone Logistics in 850 ABY, the DSC-55 Galaxy "Homefront" variant was built from the ground up to take advantage of the unstable deep core and form the backbone of mass relief efforts when all else would fail. Entirely unarmed and reliant on it's thick shell to ward off attackers, the Galaxy was pushed into service with Dawnstone Logistics as quickly as possible to fill in the gaps made during the deep core Crisis of 856 ABY, and played a large role in supporting the effected populations. The Galaxy is unable to enter beyond low orbit, relying on space stations and it's own retinue of transport aircraft to deliver supplies when proper docking arrangements cannot be made. The baseline Galaxy is never allowed to leave the inner core to limit pirate threats and take advantage of product transportation.

The Galaxy boasts a robust construction, featuring a thick hull and redundant compartment design that ensures structural integrity and safety for its crew. The majority of personnel reside within a 400 meter section located in the Stern, spanning five levels at the heart of the ship. This central hub offers a range of amenities, including but not limited to a fitness center, cinema, library, armory, cantina, and individual living quarters, providing comfort and convenience for crew members during long voyages. The ship's complement comprises 1,200 bridge crew and pilots, tasked with navigation and operational duties, along with an additional security detail of 600 personnel to safeguard the vessel and its occupants. However, the majority of day-to-day tasks aboard the Galaxy are handled by various droids and automated container cranes within the expansive cargo holds, streamlining operations and maximizing efficiency.

STANDARD FEATURES
  • All standard features
ADVANCED SYSTEMS
  • None
STRENGTHS
  • Mobile society: Due to the constraints of being away from ports for long periods of time, the Frontier is a self-sufficient vessel complete with expansive hydroponics sector, vast crew accommodations and amenities, and communications suite
  • Redundant hull: Given the sheer size of the Galaxy, a majority of the hull can be damaged and even breached without comprising the life support systems, slip-space housing and engine drives, and crew complements.
WEAKNESSES
  • Whale shark: This vessel was not designed to be inherently fast in any regard. Because of this the vessel is both extremely slow and clunky, and will not outrun anything
  • Ramshackle guns: The Frontier's armaments' were canalized from other ships in the fleet. Despite professional work, the weapons simply aren't designed to mount properly where they are, which can cause problems in open conflict.

TALO XS-V1

OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION
  • Intent: To create a suit of stealth armor in use by the Antares Exploration.
  • Canon Link: N/A
  • Permissions: N/A
  • Primary Source: Medium Armor
PRODUCTION INFORMATION
TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS
  • Classification: Experimental stealth suit
  • Weight: Heavy
  • Resistances:
    • Energy: Average
    • Kinetic: Low
    • Lightsabers: Average
    • Other: Elements - None
SPECIAL FEATURES
STRENGTHS
  • One of shadows: The most obvious draw to the suit is the jamming suite and absorbent material used in it's construction. This provides the capabilities of the Infiltration Suit while adding an additional layer of protection against small arms fire.
  • Vacuum rated: On average, the Stealthsuit boasts a 20-minute vacuum rating, allowing for quick escapes from hazardous environments. However, it's important to note that this duration is not standardized and may vary from suit to suit based on individual configurations and conditions.
WEAKNESSES
  • Vulnerable: Plastoid plates make up the armor composition over a layer of armorweave which give the suit the most basic of protections against blaster pistols. Anything larger is going to go straight through the armor into the wearer.
  • Highly brittle: All it takes is a glancing blow from any attack to disrupt the bulky Senor jamming pack or ruin the carefully crafted stealth materials.
  • Unstandardized: Although the body glove remains consistent across all suits, the diverse nature of the armor used in their construction ensures that each Talos suit is unique. The varying ages and qualities of the armor components further contribute to this individuality, resulting in a diverse array of suits which in many cases combine the weaknesses of multiple armors into one.
DESCRIPTION
The TALOS suit represents a grassroots innovation originating in the early stages of the Antares Exploration. Crafted for boarding actions and specialized operations, it combines various existing designs to produce a cost-effective yet highly functional piece of equipment. The body glove consist of the popular Mk I NightStalker Infiltration Suit while the armor pieces consist of various mixed and matched plastoid armor including First Order armor, clone trooper armor, and first generation Stormtrooper armor used throughout the ages. Every component of the armor undergoes a black paint application, enhancing its stealth capabilities. Additionally, a layer of Shadowsilk is sewn into the fabric, further diminishing visibility.

The primary weight concern within the suit stems from the jammer link affixed to the wearer's back. Encased in an additional layer of black paint and Shadowsilk, this pack houses the short-range jamming equipment responsible for disrupting H.U.Ds from targeting the user. This pack weighs approximately 36 kilograms and serves as a crucial component of the suit's functionality. While it can be detached by the user, doing so will result in the loss of the jamming property, rendering the suit akin to any other lightly armored stealth suit.

Overall the TALOS suit served it's propose as a proof of concept and filled the gaps required for the operations.
