Dayne Inck'ha
It is what it is
NAME: Dayne Inck'ha
FACTION: The Family
RANK: Associate (hired gun, specifically, because she's not gonna be running a damn dry cleaning shop anytime soon)
SPECIES: Just human. Nothing special.
BIRTH PLANET: Ragnatss
AGE: 27 years, three standard months, and two standard days as of posting.
SEX: Female, but very....relaxed, I suppose, with presentation and pronouns.
ORIENTATION: Aro/Ace
HEIGHT: 67in, or 170.18cm
WEIGHT: 138.23lbs or 62.70kg, on average
EYES: Brown
HAIR: Blond
SKIN: Dark tan
FORCE SENSITIVE: No.
STARTER AMMUNITION: 96 blaster ( 1 + 3 extra per blaster @ 12 rounds per ammunition clip); 80 rifle ( 1 + 3 extra clips @ 20 rounds per clip)
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESSES (Required: 2 Weaknesses Minimum) :
+ Let Me Calculate Your Trajectory, Baby: Dayne is what one may call a math whiz. She is incredibly good with calculations, able to do most within seconds mentally. Of course, these are mostly calculations pertaining to her job; such as bullet trajectory, windspeed, distance, etc.
- Particularly Particular about Particular Things: On the flip side, seeing imperfect, imprecise, or "lazy" math has the strong potential to throw her off her rhythm. One or two minor things may annoy her, but anything more than that can sufficiently distract her.
+ You've Got a Bull, I've Got an Eye: Dayne is an excellent shot. While she may not be a professional sniper, her skills with her pair of blaster pistols are exemplary.
- Sorry, I Don't Speak Karate: On the flip side, Dayne will do anything she can to avoid melee or close-quarters combat. Why? Simple. Despite the effort she puts into keeping her body in shape, and despite her impressive shooting, this woman is absolutely horrible at hand-to-hand combat. Oh, sure, she knows a few dirty tricks but, she'd much rather avoid a fist fight if she can help it.
APPEARANCE:
Armor (View 1)///Armor (View 2)
If you're going to meet Dayne, you'll more than likely be meeting her in her armor. Most of the suit is made of spacer's leather and armorweave, and her face is always obscured by her yellow scarf. However, should you find yourself in the rare opportunity to see her with her mask off, she'd look like any other human.
And, if you ever find yourself blessed with the astronomical, rarer-than-rare chance to see her unclothed, or at least in anything more revealing than her usual preferred out-of-suit getup, you may notice many scars and a few tattoos, like this one above her heart, this one on her inner right forearm, and a series of tally marks across her back. You'll notice, were you to count them, that they total up to 15.
BIOGRAPHY:
Dayne had a relatively normal childhood, or at least as normal as any childhood could be when your was a math teacher, your father a member of the local paramilitary group, and you lived on the edge between respectable neighborhoods and the slums.
Her parents wanted only the best for their child, but had rather conflicting ideas on what she should be. So while her mother schooled her on math, testing the limits of her brain, Dayne's father tried to teach his little girl how to be a soldier. She could never take too well to close quarter combat, but it was evident from her first use of a gun that the young child had the potential to be an incredible marksman.
Nobody ever bothered to ask Dayne what she wanted to be, and she learned early on not to share her desired career path with anyone.
As she grew older, her heart grew tougher. Her parents demanded the absolute best, and it was rare for her to fully win their approval. It was always more, more, more!
To escape their demands, and avoid the dark, quiet fears of the path she began to question, Dayne fell in with a crowd of delinquents who accepted her into their fold. They mostly did dumb, stupid stuff - vandalism, petty theft, though no animal was harmed when she was around. All in all, it gave her a taste of freedom. Unfortunately, freedom comes at a cost, and Dayne paid hers in blood.
By this time, the petty theft has escalated to more...organized crime. Running drugs, taking "protection" money from locals, and robbery. It was one such robbery that changed it all.
The plan was simple. Break into the local convenience store, the one two blocks down from Dayne's apartment. Get the money, and scram. That was the plan. But what they didn't know, was that the owner happened to be in that night doing the weekly checkup. The owner who knew Dayne and her family. The owner who had watched the little girl grow up.
"Please don't do this, Dayne. You know me. I used to give you candy every time you came in, remember?"
"Shoot the damn fool, Dayne! He's gonna rat us!"
Anyone else would have been utterly crushed by the action. Anyone else would have decided then and there to throw in the towel. To turn their back on that life before they hurt more people.
Anyone else, but Dayne.
She felt no sorrow. No regret. Perhaps, in the beginning, but not then. Not ever again.
From there, it was simple. Become the gang-appointed guard dog and hit man. Shoot who needed to be shot, and threaten who needed to be threatened. As Dayne grew up, her shots got better, and her heart grew colder. More dispassionate. She earned a local reputation, and when the gang was taken out,she didn't hesitate to jump ship and travel abroad, working for whoever happened to need a particularly uncaring hired gun.
