Warlord of the Empire
A Week after the Destruction of Exegol...
SHARB, CHISS SPACE
SHARB, CHISS SPACE
The Second Great Hyperspace War was over, or at least that’s what most of the galaxy thought. While the Alliance’s strike at Exegol had brought forth the ultimate demise of the Brotherhood of the Maw as it’s whole, various Mawite Subgroups remained active despite the loss of Exegol, among them being the Final Dawn which currently stood as one of the most powerful Splinter Groups to emerge from the collapse of the Brotherhood of the Maw. With large fleets still active and agents scattered across the galaxy, it was in the perfect position to emerge as a new galactic power ready to finish what Solipsis had begun at Csilla.
However in order to complete his rise to power as the High Regent of the Final Dawn, Sularen still had many things to do in order to secure his power base as the Final Dawn’s position in the galaxy was now compromised, their many holdings scattered across the galaxy at risk of being overwhelmed by both the Galactic Alliance and the Rimward Trade League. As part of a new project to ensure the survival of the Final Dawn, Sularen had sought out the treasures of a former ally-turned-usurper, an Eriaduan Sith Lord by the name of Credius Nargath, hoping to find anything of value that could be further weaponized by the Final Dawn.
Already during the final stages of the Second Great Hyperspace War, the Final Dawn had established itself on a variety of planets throughout Chiss Space which housed research facilities built and operated by the N&Z Umbrella Corporation, a large corporate conglomerate owned by Nargath himself. However due to a civil war between the followers of Nargath after his sudden disappearance, most of the facilities had been destroyed or severely damaged with only one remaining relatively intact, the N&Z Beta Site on Sharb. Thus, the slow and careful excavation of this one facility was carried out in order to ensure the safe retrieval of the assets within the facility, without alerting the Zweihander Union or either the Galactic Alliance or the Empire.
In order for Sularen to succeed in the future, he first needed to revisit his past and confront the past mistakes that had haunted him for years now.
A Trio of small Battlecruisers belonging to the Final Dawn emerged from hyperspace arriving in proximity of the former Chiss Colony world of Sharb as part of the High Regent’s planned visit to the world. In Front of them were a pair of Star Destroyers which kept guard over the planet ensuring that the excavations on the surface would remain uninterrupted by any hostile groups of interest. Finally, a larger five kilometer battlecruiser emerged from hyperspace, better known as the FDS Predator, flagship of the High Regent of the Final Dawn, Marlon Sularen.
Standing onboard the bridge of the Predator, the High Regent gazed upon the voidstone fragment in his hand, more anxious and nervous than usual. The Brotherhood of the Maw was gone, and while he did possess a wide amount of allies across the galaxy, Sularen still felt as if he were still surrounded on all sides, besieged by the many enemies he had made throughout the past two decades. His thoughts were once more interrupted by his personal aide, Colonel Rackham who proceeded to walk into the bridge accompanied by a pair of Raptor Commandos.
“Sir, your shuttle is ready.” the Colonel stated. “Good. I assume Overseer Pryce has already been informed of your arrival. Yes?” Sularen asked. The Colonel nodded, “Yes sir, he awaits you at the designated landing area outside the facility. All the necessary preparations for your visit have been made” he said. “Very well then.” Sularen replied. He proceeded to place the voidstone in his pockets before leaving the bridge of the Predator, headed towards the main hangar bays of the large warship, flanked by the Colonel and a small squad of six Raptor Commandos.
Soon enough, the High Regent’s Infiltration Shuttle had emerged from the ventral hangars of the Predator and began to approach Sharb, headed straight towards the former N&Z Facility, with Sularen ready to lay claim to the many treasures within in order to advance his plans, prepared to face any kind of threat that might emerge to challenge him, to avoid a repetition of a previous expedition he spearheaded which had been foiled by the combined forces of the Zweihander Union and the New Imperial Order.
He would not fail this time, and would make sure that the wrongdoings previously made against him would be corrected one way or another whether his soon-to-be-victims accepted it or not.
